 Latest Poll
Topic Originator: desparado
Date:   Fri 13 Jul 12:29

Latest Survation poll: looking good for SNP . I wonder when we will see “ Peak Nat”?.....

SNP 42% (+3)
Conservatives 24% (n/c)
Labour 23% (-4)
Liberal Democrats: 8% (+1)

Scottish Parliament voting intentions (constituency ballot):

SNP 43% (+1)
Conservatives 24% (-1)
Labour 21% (-4)
Liberal Democrats 9% (+3)

Scottish Parliament voting intentions (regional list ballot):

SNP 33% (+1)
Labour 21% (-2)
Conservatives 19% (-4)
Greens 11% (+2)
Liberal Democrats 9% (+1)
UKIP 5% (+2)

>> This is the most favourable poll for the SNP and the pro-independence parties since the general election. If these numbers were replicated at the ballot box, there would still be a pro-independence majority at Holyrood, the SNP would regain all of the six Westminster seats they lost to Labour last year, and would even regain the bulk of the twelve seats they lost to the Tories.

Secondly, it appears from the partial datasets published yesterday that 16 and 17 year olds weren't interviewed for the poll. If that isn't a misprint, it represents a major and inexplicable retrograde step for Survation, who previously have been good about interviewing the correct electorate. It raises the question of whether the 47% figure for Yes published yesterday may have been a smidgeon too low.<<

Poll I saw had SNP higher than this but dropping to 42%.

Of course, it matters not as the real win is from getting seats! Would seem SNP likely to get back some of what they lost last time.

23% chuntering for an Indy ref before Autumn, 19% for later, and 49% never.

You missed that bit.

Tock tick. Going backwards.

Yes, 51% want one; they're just not sure about the timing.

The don’t knows...who mostly stick with what they’ve got when it comes to the vote. 55/45 vega du all over again.

And I presume wee Eck is a casualty of Fat Eck’s educational system.

Also, the most popular politician in this poll is..?

The poll I saw said 9% weren't sure about the timing so that sounded like they were with the 42%. 47% are in favour of independence so it doesn't seem likely that only 42% want a referendum.

I'm in favour of independence but now isn't the time to think about a referendum. Wait until after we have clarity on brexit.

Mario's playing games here.

The question wasn't 'should there be another referendum' but should there be one in Autumn.

Frankly I know very few fervent yes voters who want one in Autumn but within the timeframe of Brexit whenever that is would see a totally different response.

Labour, according to these polls are in total freefall once again no thanks to a totally ineffectual leader who should just go back to his unions for a job as that's about all he's good for.

If there is another Indy Ref, which is looking increasing unlikely, party politics will be oot the windae.

The 35% who never or rarely vote in general or local elections are the key, and of course the non Snipper voters put aside their differences for the greater good. Apart from the greasy Green tree huggers of course.

And if Eck couldn’t swing it at his peak, Elsie, who now trails Davidson in personal popularity according to this poll, never will.

So ha ha ha till the coos come hame..

If it comes to a referendum I'll of course vote yes. Until then I'm quite happy for the snp to utterly dominate Scottish politics and harass and cajole Westminster for the benefit of Scotland.

And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

Holyrood is a pretendy wee talking shop. Apart from the mandatory budget, you could count the bills passed in the last FY on the two fingers I salute Elsie with whenever her gurning mug pops up.

Jings, if she had a Soor Ploom in her gob it would jump out to seek asylum

A bunch of third raters propped up by Harvie the little Green Gremlin.

Let's be honest here. There won't be another referendum for a while and it'll be no again unless there's some decent proposals on what "Yes" means. We've already seen what happens when people say yes to something without actually being clear what it will actually mean!

Don't hold your breath. He has nothing but name calling.
He also decided it would be good to intimidate a female SNP activist by videotaping her when she was out leafletting. That's just the kind of person he is.

It's that videotaping real? If so that is a pretty scummy way to be acting.

Wasn't 100% sure it was Mario but the other week someone mentioned he was on a photo on Facebook campaigning with Labour. Checked the photo out and the only person in the photo that could possibly be Mario was the guy who I know videoed the female.
So my suspicions were confirmed.

The man on the kite was part of amnesty international and I'm sure he'd have been aware of snipers around the course.

Shocker by Polis Alba.
That could have been a terrorist, a kamikaze bomber, a Snipper with a flea infested sporran.
The shame of it.
