Just seen some really cheap flights online to Vancouver next year and I was wondering if any .Netters had been and would you recommend it?

Any top tourists tips? Accommodation wise I'd be looking to do it cheap so possibly looking at an airbnb. Can anyone recommend any areas to stay in?

And finally is it easy to get to Seattle and is Seattle worth a look?

Any advice appreciated!

Was there and Seattle this summer mate. Both highly, highly recommended. Two brilliant cities. So much to do in both. The drive to Seattle was a daudle. A couple of hours perhaps. Was really impressed with Seattle. Defo worth going to.

I stayed here https://abnb.me/CjKQzmhonQ when we were in Vancouver. Brilliant place, really cheap and the host was top class. One absolut thing you should do, is go to Whistler. It's about 100 odd miles from Vancouver and believe me it is an absolutely stunning place. The drive up was just breathtaking.

Do a search on here for Seattle, as there was loads of brilliant travel tips from the guys. If you can go mate, go. You won't be disappointed

I’ve been to Vancouver twice and Seattle once. Would echo the comments already said about the 2 cities. We’ve spent the last 6 months looking into emigrating to vancouver but it just hasn’t worked out work wise.

Did some skiing in Whistler for 2 nights, an absolute bucketlist ticker.

So much to see and do. First time we flew into Calgary and drove through the rockies via banff. An amaxing road trip!

We’re lucky that my wife’s youngest sister lives there so we have free digs!

I visit B.C. twice a year for family reasons...I agree totally with the previous comments.
I did the Calgary/Rockies thing....I stopped at Canmore instead of Bamff......great wee town
....links with Dunfermline....hence the name...
Do not forget Vancouver Island including Victoria....the capital......ferries to Seattle from there too......enjoy....

Forgot to say they were coming up on Sky scanner then clicking through to the virgin website. Shouldn't make a difference I don't think but does make finding the flights a wee bit easier.

londonparsfan you have probably seen this already but if not it gives you a taste of why Vancouver is considered one of the most beautiful and entertaining places in the world.
I'm biased of course as it is the home of my hockey team but I have never lived there although I have heard countless good things from people on the Canucks forum.

I'm sure if you logged into Canucks.com there are many fans there who would give you long lists of places to go (including Whistler where the Canucks do their pre season training.)

Haven't seen either of those mate!

Thanks for posting those two links I'll definitely check them out.

I knew you were into your hockey but didn't realise it was the Canucks. Hope you weren't rioting over here after the Bruins game 😉

No worries mate hope they are of use. I'm still not quite sure I can afford it even with the flights that cheap but the comments on here are definitely tempting me more than I was already tempted.

Could do with a few horses coming in!

Mate from work did the Rockies Express this year. Was meant to be a once in a lifetime thing.

Was that good over there they are thinking about going back next year.

He was telling me that the Mancunian barman in Banff told him and his wife to hang around until the other tourists had cleared off, and then the bar got much livlier when the local cowboys turned up. All topped off with a lift back to the hotel from the barman.

Sounds like a very beautiful part of the world with people to match.

Vancouver is probably ok but I dont advise going to the Yukon May to August. Mosquitos make our midges look like gummy bears.

Never again. September onwards in future.
