Dundee Post Match Interviews

Author: Stuart Meldrum Date: Sunday, 12th Sep 2010

Highlights from interviews given by Jim McIntyre and Gordon Chisholm after the game against Dundee at East End Park.

Jim McIntyre
Jim is delighted that his hard working players managed to get a great three points against tough opponents. He gives special praise to Stephen Bell who he felt won a lot of important balls in the midfield, worked hard for the team and got on the score sheet after a great passing move. The defence too were extremely tight against good attacking players although the gaffer is dissapointed at losing a goal from a set piece. The season so far has gone excellently according to McIntyre who is happy that they have reached their goal of starting near the top of the table and not playing catch up.

Gordon Chisholm
Gordon believes his team threw the game away by giving the home side three cheap goals and admits that teams have no chance of getting anything from East End Park if they make such terrible mistakes. Having got back into the game early in the second half he felt that his players were on the up but having the huge error at the back blew their chances. Chisholm is often dismayed at the lack of effort his players show in tracking back and keeping it tight in defence, which is crucial to winning games at this level.
