Faraway Fans

Alan Hill says, "Now that the dust is beginning to settle on the season I`d like to thank all those who volunteered to feature in the `Faraway Fans` slot in the match programme."

The response to my initial requests via ParsTV and dafc.net was overwhelming and firstly I apologise to all those people I didn`t get round to. (That includes the `Not So Faraway` fans from some parts of the UK and the Rovers fan who sportingly offered his services).

I tried to spread the locations as wide as possible although there were inevitably some countries which appeared more than once.

It`s not that easy getting 3 pages together for every home game and in filling the slot I have to rely heavily on the goodwill of the people involved. Most people seemed to enjoy being involved and it was heartening to read the praise from a `mystery blogger` for the edition which featured `RhinoPar`.

At this stage I don`t know what the editor`s plans are for next season but I still have everyone`s contact details in case he decides to continue it.
