Ross County Post Match Interviews

Author: Stuart Meldrum Date: Monday, 23rd Feb 2009

Highlights from interviews given by Derek Adams, Craig Brewster and Jim McIntyre after the game against Ross County at East End Park.

Derek Adams
Derek pays tribute to his veteran player-coach Craig Brewster and is delighted he could score against his old club to put his team in front just before the half-time break. He admits that they were set up to defend and hit on the counter-attack and it paid off in the end. The aim for Ross County is to simply pick up as many points as possible from week to week and hope that the side progresses and remains in the first division.

Craig Brewster
Craig explains that after 42 years he still gets a buzz from playing the game and is very happy to come away with his first Ross County goal. Scoring against his former club is not important to Brewster, he is simply happy to be scoring goals and doing a job for the team.

Jim McIntyre
Jim is very unhappy and embarrased at the performance and result after another defeat at home. He explains that he needs his players to show a lot more character and determination to get results and turn the abismal home form around. The manager feels that it must be a mental block that stops his players from playing their best at home having won two in a row on the road and its simply not good enough for professional footballers. Jim is still not concerned with St.Johnstone`s fortunes and is concentrating solely on his teams home record.
