Watching the highlights, Hippolytes decision to take a shot rather than play it into Jackson Longridge was a very bad one. Acres of space.

We should have won that. Poor goal to concede too

It's common knowledge that Lionel Messi kept a photo of Hamish French by his bedside as inspiration every morning!

We made enough chances to win by 2 or 3, great performance by the lads and great to see the Pars fans rocking till the end.

Agree 100%. Terrible decision, a simple pass to longridge and he was one on one with the keeper.

Hippo had a better game than I remembered.
Can’t fault anyone tbh.

Zlamal kept us out - his goalkeeping was excellent.

Hearts took a pummelling yesterday, our team put a lot of effort into that game for no reward, on another day we would have won the game comfortably

Levin says Hearts controlled the game in the second half, he must have been watching a different game from me

Hearts goalie only had 4 saves on the highlights.
The save from Faissal scissor kick was good but one you'd expect a competent goalie to save.
The 2 headers from Devine, one was a cracking save and the other was routine
The Connolly save, I'm not sure if it's a gd save or a piece of luck to be honest.
From the highlights we certainly looked to play well. A little bit of luck or a little better decision making and we would've taken something.
Plenty of positives to take from the game.

Well so far watched the first hour on Parstv replay and the Hearts keeper hasn't had a save to make. Having said that Robinson has only had one and that was in the first minute or two. We haven't looked a threat to the Hearst goal largely because we haven't managed to commit more than two attackers into the penalty box.
Thus far we look solid at the back and in midfield and I can see why there were many nominations for L Longbidge as mom.

Actually Levein is correct when he said Hearts controlled possession. Hearts had the majority possession but didn’t do anything with that possession. What they were trying to do unsuccessfully is stretch and draw Dunfermline out by playing into the midfield and back to defence but the Pars discipline held, although the shift Vincent and Longridge put in to chase the game down was incredible and they did tire. That was where the Hearts frustration was. Clearly Hearts have a better team but Dunfermline outfought and outthought their opponents for most of the game. However Levein was looking for positives to satisfy what their fans thought was a poor performance without paying attention to how good we were in the areas mentioned above, by giving it the usual “we knew we would have a hard game”.

Having watched the highlights. IMO, Hearts keeper kept them in the cup either by skill or fortune.
Onwards and upwards. COYP.

Based on those highlights alone, I was very proud of the team. Lots of energy, plenty of chances, and some real disappointment by the players; they obviously know they could have grabbed a win there.
Faissal was very impressive in my opinion, always on his toes, plenty of defensive pressure when required, and the Hearts players obviously knew they couldn't let him loose.

Couldn't make the game, but the highlights showed what a great performance I missed.

The Pars were superb, with Ryan and Faissal outstanding imo.

Their keeper certainly stopped three or four net bound attempts and as for our keeper going forward, he never did anything that looked silly, but was just trying to get a late attack going.

Well done the team.

Still gutted to lose that game. Fantastic effort from the boys.

Gutting to lose that did everything but score. Not a lot you can do when their keeper has a blinder. One of those days sometimes it happens in Football. By all accounts a much stronger performance than against County; who for me will be one of the tips for the league.
