 red change strip
Topic Originator: Ronaldo

Is there any chance the club will make the red change strip available to punters?
In my view, it's much better than the grey effort, which doesn't even fill the basic criteria of a 'change' strip ... i.e. it's not different enough from the home top, meaning that neither of our official tops can be used against teams that play in white.

The current away strip is one of the worst for many years. Just my opinion.

I was very surprised that Dunfermline did not wear the black and white strip 420 miles away as we showed the flag in deepest darkest Herts.

The Red strip will not be on public sale, watch this site for details on how to get one though

It’s a shame that only those with a high disposable income will be able to bid for one.

Sure I read earlier that they would be auctioned. Apologies if I’ve got that wrong.

The grey one is horrific.
The positive reaction to this red kit probably indicates what Pars fans want to see.

is the money raised from these auctions going to the charity ? If not I think they should be handed to some of the volunteers at the club as a thank you .

I'm sure I read on here that those strips will be auctioned for various Pars related charities?

I think that is the case but judging by some of the comments there may be a raffle on some of them meaning that folk will have an equal chance without having to pay over the odds?

Pure guess work on my part but a good way of achieving decent money for them.

There was a news item on COWS dated 24/08 about these shirts. They will be worn again in Saturday's game against Alloa. At the end of the season they are to be signed by the players who wore them and auctioned to raise funds for PoppyScotland and the DAFC Heritage Trust. It says that will be the only way to acquire one of these shirts.

As the original post about these strip states, after the Alloa game they will not be worn again, then auctioned at the end of season for a very good cause.
I'm not a great fan of the current second strip, and hope they don't use this one again to lessen the chance of my one getting damaged.
( High disposable income? don't think so.)

I am going to win one (havent told the wife yet haha)

No way I'll be able to fit into tho - guess it'll just be hung and framed on the wall beside the 96 one.

I'd love to buy one and be able to wear it

I said on facebook that they should open up pre-orders, everyone pay in advance and then just order however many they actually need. Given its the run up to Christmas in sure they could shift a few hundred and probably still not dilute the value of the match worn ones for auction

If we are not going to wear it again, what are we going to wear when we play Ayr again, and one or 2 other teams may clash with both our strips dependant how strict the rules are.

But excellent inatative again, but if these were to be sold in limited numbers like the Norrie one it would raise a lot of cash

Away min! this season's away strip is one of the best we've had for decades! However they should release this as a third kit for us to buy!

Believe it or not, Ayr and every other team have change strips too, so ours doesn't necessarily have to contrast with every home strip in the league.
