Anyone explain as to why on an European night the upper tier directly above the away support is closed/empty?

Yet for Scttish games it is open for the animals to launch whatever they want on to the away support below?

A guess but are they entitled to a 5% allocation and not taken up?

Or maybe Sevco afraid there may be the kind of behaviour you mention and do not want any sanctions against them by UEFA?

nailed it. Even Rangers are ashamed of their own fans.

If you only turn up to moan then do it elsewhere

They closed it because they know UEFA wont turn a blind eye to the animals antics the way the authorities here do. Sevco know they can't trust their own fans to behave

Good result for Steven Gerrards Rangers, anyway when did they change their name from The Rangers to Steven Gerrards Rangers, is this yet another new company?

Good result again for Rangers in Europe.

Hate to say it but Gerrard is doing well in his first season as manager, especially in European games.

"Full time!

Presumably some folks have a problem recognising the number between 2 (two) and 4 (four) unless it's also expressed in written form within brackets ?

Slim Jim was never as good after that leg break. Think it might have been in the away leg of the tie.

Home fans aren't allowed directly in teir above away fans in UEFA matches. Most teams put away fans high up.

Actually it wouldn’t have mattered where the fans were seated as the moronic element of The Rangers “support”, when they threw the bottle into the Dunfermline fans last year, had thrown it from much higher up and a fair distance from the Pars fans, based upon trajectory.
Anyway I wonder if this guy was ever found, or hun-ted in the same way that reprobate who threw the coin at Livingston game.

Well done to Rangers for the win. Third goal back heel was a nice touch.

Brilliant performance by Rangers.

Gerrard is to be praised. While Celtic play a brand of football that is totally alien to the Scottish game (and play it extremely badly) SG has identified it's strengths and played to them.

I had to stop watching the Celtic game because all I could think about was the recently announced wages bill and how it could not possibly relate to the dross playing in the hoops on my telly. Rodgers needs to go, he is clueless imo.

I don't like either of these teams but that is my take.

The only thing alien about Celtic on here is there’s never a thread about them when they get beat.

He'd lost 4 games out of 76 in the league until this season and has won every trophy since he started at Celtic. It's fair enough to say that he should have managed this with the relative quality at his disposal but to call him clueless is a bit daft to say the least.

He also did exceptionally well at Swansea and almost won the title with Liverpool. What he's yet to prove is whether he can take a team that is declining and turn it around. Time will tell on that front.

He may well have but imo the football they play and the players they signed don't compare to the McNeil or the Lennon eras.

Celtic play a boring brand of football that seems to require slow motion as it's main ingredient. Contrast that with Rangers, Hibs Aberdeen and Hearts.

They have spent their way to whatever success they have had while the opposition have been skint and going through bad patches. How they can gloat about their league titles escapes me.

I do think he is clueless. He was found out at Liverpool and never lasted long enough anywhere else to be able say he was a success. Martinez built the Swansea team he took over.

I can only assume you did not see many of the Celtic matches from two seasons ago, when they were just tearing the opposition, in our league, apart.

Fast, incisive, skilful play from the likes of Rogic, Sinclair, Forrest, Dembele, Griffiths, Cairney and others.

Celtic’s football 2 seasons ago was absolutely fantastic. Dembele was on fire, the tempo and intensity was excellent and they were solid at the back. This season they have been staggeringly poor other than when they raised their game against Sevco. Highly unlikely they’ll win the league on this form. Hearts/Sevco have an unbelievable chance, one they may not get again for a very long time.

Form is temporary, Class is permanent
