Solid. As with the rest of the defence.

Aye he strolled that today. Fair play to him.

As for most of the players amazing what confidence can do for you.

I’ve been his biggest critic since he signed. Absolutely solid again though. What a turnaround!

Hopefully he's now settled into the 442 and was maybe just uncomfortable in a 3 man defence. Fair play to him, changed my opinion

Is anyone going to admit to calling him a 'donkey'?

I never called him a donkey, just made a comment that he looked like a liability, which he was in a 3 man defence. Now looks a lot more solid.

Somebody called him a donkey. It stuck with me for some reason.

He was fantastic today. Hopefully we can get performances like that more often.

'''Somebody called him a donkey. It stuck with me for some reason.''

Are you going to regurgitate every comment you disagreed with in the last two months?

The ''I told you so'' crap is a bit cringe. No real need for the willy waving. Falkirk are a gimmie at the moment. Hopefully it is a turn in our poor performances though.

So he is solid against the worst team in the league and a donkey against the better teams?

Is that the consensus or have I picked up the recent posts about Durnan wrong?

You might be thinking of the post quoted below, though it wasn't Durnan that was being accused of it. Poor stuff just the same.

"Fais behind a striker?? He is a donkey at this level.
Hopefully his family have been over already as any decent manager would send him back to Dundee. Rat bastard"

Dreadful stuff from Wee Eck. The levels of utter cringe from the ‘I told you so’ crew is giving me the dry boak.

You usually find that folk who like to dish out criticism can't take it themselves.

It is perhaps worth noting that a couple of United fans have been saying on their forum that neither of their current central defenders is as good as Durnan.

When Durnan was getting a lot of stick earlier in the season, I remember Raymie, who I don't always agree with but whose opinions I value, saying he was a much better player than some thought.

I just give my honest opinion on things, wee eck. I like to think it’s always a considered one, though

'Considered' being the operative word, Raymie; so many of the opinions on here are of the 'knee-jerk' variety.

A simple search for the word donkey will reveal who the poster was for anyone interested.

A few games ago I posted on here that we were expecting too much of him as a centre half. He was there to defend. More often than not the ball was going to him and the midfield were hiding so it was down to him to start our attacks. Now we're in a back 4 with midfielders who actually want the ball off him he can get back to being a proper defender.
