My point still stands, DA.
Why would Ian leave his high flying team at this stage?
If he takes Ayr to back to back titles his worth will go through the roof. I personally think he'd be mad to move on, but money could talk I suppose.

If Shankland gets a move from Somerset Park then Ayr United will start to drop off the top of the table - still a decent enough side at this level - but might encourage McCall to accept an offer with a bigger club.
