Looking forward to this. Two best teams in the country, two best managers, play the best football, etc. etc.

I hope I haven't jinxed it now.😃

Pep doesn't think Mendy and Sane can play together for some reason.

Pep is definitely the best imo but the jury is still out on whether Klopp is 2nd best at the moment. Sure, they're great to watch but they've so far won nothing. This so called 2 horse race has another couple of horses in the front group. If Klopp wins nothing again this year will it be acceptable?

I have fekkin jinxed it. Liverpool started very brightly but then lost their way and City have been in control, without looking particularly threatening.

Looks like a stone wall 0-0 draw.

There, I hope I've unjinxed it now.

Very mistake laden game so far. Slack passing, poor last balls from both sides.

Be surprised if it's 0-0 though at FT.

If you only turn up to moan then do it elsewhere

Apparently Mahrez has missed 5 out of his last 8 penalties in the Premiership. It seems odd that he was the nominated taker.

The 2 “best” managers in the league going at it? Zzzzzz. Klopp is grossly overrated and Pep , although successful, is an absolute roaster.

Some nice crosses but defences dealt with them. Two sides just cancelled each other out and probably,I think, one sort of save in whole game.

I think he doesn't trust Sane to put in a defensive shift with Mendy being a very attacking full back but that view causes a problem as Sterling should always play on the right to get the best from him.

Not a game for the neutral but absorbing enough for the committed supporters, Stones and Laporte were excellent, kept a tight grip on Salah, Firmino and Mane.

Shocking penalty, I was 28 rows back and it nearly reached me.

Yeah I should have expanded on what I posted above to say that but to add that I don't think Sane is that far behind Sterling in terms of defensive cover anymore (might have been when he first joined). I just condensed it all to some reason whereas you're right in Peps thinking but I'm not sure if I agree with Pep on that one (he'll be very concerned to know!).

I actually quite enjoyed the game as well but I think you're right that you had to be a supporter to find any enjoyment in it as it was a bit cat and mouse.

Peps game plan was to go there and play park the bus football which is the exact thing Jose has taken absolute pelters for in previous encounters against that rotten mob. Yet rather bizarrely not a mention of that in the media. They really don’t like to change the narrative do they?
Jose = bad guy
Pep/Flopp = good guys

Jose's team are dire to watch the majority of the time.Score less and concede more than both City and Liverpool.I know who's teams I would rather watch week in week out. The Special One will be gone in the next 4 games I reckon-away to Chelsea, City and Bournemouth and at home to Everton and already sitting on a negative goal difference going into these games.

I’ll admit that Jose is probably only one maybe two defeats away from the sack but I think the players have to take some responsibility. They have been absolutely dreadful. Too many not up to playing for a club like Man Utd. Pogba seems to be a dreadful influence in the changing room and I’d sooner see him leave than Jose. I firmly believe that Utd are capable of going on an unbeaten run and I’ll also guarantee that when the trophies are getting handed out at the end of the season Herr Flopp won’t have won more than Jose. The free pass this guy gets in the media is astounding.

Ed Woodward. Jose didn’t want Pogba and he didn’t want Sanchez either but those decisions are above his head.

Is Jose a good mate of yours, Wheelie? You seem to be well informed as to his thoughts and preferences.

The comments on BT were spot on, how much better Utd were when forced to chase the game. In particular, Pogba who ran the show! If Jose set up his team to play like that from the off, then I am sure the players would be happier and look more comfortable, rather than looking so stifled. I am sure the fans would appreciate a more attack minded mentality as well, as opposed to the the ultra cautious fare usuall served up... a game of football might even break out.

"Not at all but I’m definitely ‘in the know’ when it comes to my club.
Your club? Are you one of the Glazer family?
Any chance ye can threw a few spare millions at the Pars?

Yeah OK my point about who signed Pogba backfired in my face (I thought Moaninho had signed him).... But it's his job to get results. If results don't happen it's the manager that gets the heave.
Moaninho attracts so much media attention because of his attitude. He's arrogant... (he may call it confidence) But it seems its just his way.
Reporters know they can get a rise out of Moaninho by simply asking the right (or wrong) questions. Add to that his general dour demeanour and you have a person that folk will always have different views on.
Pep and Klopp seem to be more upbeat chaps... I like that. And it seems to win them a lot of friends... Apart from you of course 😉
