Looks like Neilson is to get the United job, also that Stevie Crawford to join him as assistant

We should hopefully get compensation for Crawford since he signed a contract with us if true?

I'm sure Crawford said on the recent Official podcast that he had given his commitment to DAFC for a period of time regardless of other job offers.

I'm sure he'll stay, it's not like he's got any previous for showing this club zero loyalty.

“He could be assisted by” in no way suggests Crawford has agreed to join him. Seems like pure speculation. I would be disappointed if Crawford left, but would also understand from his perspective.

As he’s under contract though, we would be due compensation and that may be the stumbling block for United...

I think MK Dons fan's can already answer that question.

If Stevie accepts the offer to become No. 2 to Neilson at Tannadice, he should leave with our best wishes. Why shouldn't he accept a promotion to a better paid job? We all know that jobs in football are notoriously insecure.

Stevie has been fantastic to work with in the short time I've known him, as was John Potter before him and I'll be disappointed if he does go, but I certainly wouldn't blame him if he did.

Life's too short to have any regrets.

I’d be surprised if it wasn’t agreed before a contract was signed.

Sorry, maybe I should have been more clear. As a fan, I would be disappointed to see us lose a good coach, but can definitely understand why he would be interested in the move and would not hold that against him at all, or criticise him for that.

We should not try and force him to stay, if he is interested in moving on. However, he should only be allowed to leave, if United pay us compensation that we are due upfront. Can’t afford to give our coaches to rival clubs for free!

If he is asked to join up with Neilson, I'd be very surprised if he turned it down.

There was no mention of Stevie going with him on the radio this morning either.

Let's hope the earlier "news" was unfounded speculation.
