Steve Aitken has left Dumbarton and Stephen Findlay has left Airdrie. It's a tough old game is football management.

I don’t think Steve Aitken can have too many complaints?

It's a very fine line between success and failure in football.

Last season, Dumbarton lost the Challenge Cup Final to ICT in the 93rd minute.

Then in the play-off, Alloa scored an equaliser in the 93rd minute of added-on time (and then the winner in extra time.)

So Dumbarton were within seconds of winning a national trophy AND retaining their place in the Championship. That would have been a remarkable achievement for Stevie Aitken, and I don't expect him to be without a post for long - he had some success at Stranraer as well.

"At least Stevie Aitken has a full time job."

I could never work out how Terry Christie could be a secondary school headie and a part time football club manager at the same time.

I think Headie could be the clue, in my school I had 4 different Rectors, two of which were dedicated to the job and the other 2, well all I will say one tried to be out of the school on "trips" and nobody ever saw the other one.

That's because you're incredibly old... you're older than an old man vying for the title of "Old Man Of The Year",held in the town of Oldsville in Oldahama in the country of Oldland, which is very old indeed...

You're so old that Methuselah sits on your knee and calls you "Uncle V", and Neanderthals recoil in horror at your stunning and frankly repugnant oldness...

I met a Stegasaurus the other day, and she told me that, after she saw you rumbling through the unimpressed streets of Alloa, she'd considered dating again and had a date next Thursday with a rhinceros in Blair Drummond Safari Park...

I also know of a Trilobite fossil who claims, legallly, that you are in fact his father...

Time you got hep and started digging it again...

Come on, kid...

(sorry EEAP, this was likely aimed at VEE, if I remember correctly)
