 Irn bru cup draw

Motherwell 20s v Ross County
Bohemians v East Fife
Edinburgh City v Alloa
Queen's Park v Connahs Quay.

Would imagine County, Bohs, Alloa and Connahs Quay in semi's.
One thing I've noticed watching the teams interviews etc are how serious the non Scottish teams have taken the competition, which for those of us who do enjoy this competition is refreshing to hear.

The Sutton United manager was on Talk Sport yeserday saying it was an interesting experiment but due to their away days in Airdrie and Dublin they lost money , also lost on a derby day Saturday, he reckoned because that has been rescheduled to midweek would reduce the crowd, so won't be entering again, it would be interesting to balance that against the BW view who because they played us probably made a profit. I think the compensation money has to be looked at so it does cover cost after all every penny is a prisoner at this level.

The amount of much needed cash lost to Scottish Football in this wretched tournament currently stands at £95,000.

I know I’m in the minority on here, but I don’t think any team should get involved in a tournament where they lose money to advertise a sponsors brand. It’s just wrong imo.
The very least the sponsors should do is make sure clubs have any expenses covered. We shouldn’t have to hope that the books balance out with a cup run, we shouldn’t have to part with one penny of our own money to advertise for a multi million pound company.

Hard to argue with any of that.

Not your average Sunday League player.

Yep, just give the cup to County and move on.

I'll go for a shock-Edinburgh City to reach the final at least.

Connahs Quay are living the BW chairman's dream and playing at Hampden in this competition.
