Genuine question, why’s the target saying 100 signatures? That would be about 3% of the number of season tickets sold - which certainly wouldn’t show that this is a majority. So far, the only thing this is proving is that there’s a very vocal minority wanting him out.

For what it’s worth, the season so far hasn’t been good enough. However, I’d definitely rather give him a bit of time to turn things around. We’re creating chances and surely it’s only a matter of time until the strikers start taking them. That being said, starting the same misfiring strikers every week is very poor management.

Not signing the petition , but that doesn't mean I don't want him out .

It is interesting to know how many or how few are willing to go so far. I thought there would be more following the chanting at the weekend. It would appear to be more of a minority than expected. The problem is minorities with an agenda can be more vocal than majorities without one, giving a false impression.

There's no support for this daft idea either, but you seem to interpret it as support for AJ. Bit delusional.

No it isnt. This appears to have been a call to the extreme and it has been shown that the extreme is a minority.
You are obviously not one of the minority extremists.

I understand others are against the manager but not so crass about it.

As much as I want Johnson out, a petition is not a good at idea at all. The board have made a massive error handing him a two year deal but stuff like this does not help. He gave us an amazing season in league one (I know, we should be walking that league, but it was very enjoyable) and hopefully he is remembered for that.

Unfortunately, I don’t think he’ll be gone for sometime yet. I’ll still keep going to the games and supporting my team but it is very hard to watch at the moment. The playoffs look very doubtful with the football we’ve seen so far this season.

Couldn't care less what height the players are. Some of the best strikers in the world are vertically challenged. We signed Muirhead who is 6ft 3 and he hasn't shown anything to suggest he should be in the team. I'd be worried if we did it would encourage us to punt it long even more than we already do.You don't need to be big to be physical and put yourself about-look at N'golo Kante(5ft 6!) and one of the best defensive midfielders in the world IMO.

The top strikers in this league aren't over 6ft(Dobbie-5ft 8,Shankland 5ft 11, Mackay 5ft 7 etc)-it sounds like you are adopting the Gordon Strachan way of thinking! Height does not equal footballing ability. If you could find someone of that stature who could play then I would be all for it but it shouldn't be a prerequisite of signing a player.Signing 'dwarves and elves' didn't do too much harm to Barcelona in recent times!

I think tat the reason for wanting a tall striker is because of current tactics of kicking a high ball forward. It looked stupid kikin high balls up to Faiss however on Saturday it was crazy having a 5'4" player trying to beat 6' defenders.

Think a petition of this type is a bad idea and ill timed.

We're hardly in a place like when Leish was eased out for Munro, not even the whole Board wanted that to happen.

Nor is it anything like the Masterton times when the whole club was threatened.

We should take heed of the results from Ben's instagram poll though and maintain a pressure to improve.

No appetite for this, let the board do what they need to do

There are some people who are starting to sound like vigilantes, if folk think this the worst Pars team ever then they have not been watching long enough, I can assure you that there have been loads worse in my 48 years watching the Pars

We dont have a right to win or to be near the top of the league, nice though it would be, things will change and the form will improve, we have too many good players in the squad for it not to

Whether it is AJ at the helm or not is to be seen, although for him to survive athere certainly needs to be an improvement soon

Some good squad members are nearing fitness again, Beadling and Higgy featuring for the reserves at Falkirk this afternoon, fingers crossed they come through the whole match unscathed and are ready for first team starts come Saturday

I pretty much agree with 1970's view on the subject. A list of signatures or a pile of negative affidavits will get scant reply. The board are not the kind of people to succum to kneejerk reactions or be swayed by the vitriolic out pourings of a minority. There are other ways to protest at the weak management situation, that are more effective.
But, if you think you are watching a poor team in our colours just now, then as a few of my co-elder fans have stated, you've a long way to go.

Not the worst team he had playing for him but as far as I go back he was worst manager ever, couldnae manage a sh*te even if he was busting!

I remember the uninterested look on his face & if I remember correctly he sat in the stand to watch the games, he had no passion, no interest & ultimately no ideas, he was not good for our club

Hay was a poor appointment, no doubt about it, but there were worse. Jockey Scott, Pat Stanton and Tam Forsyth spring readily to mind. My abiding memory of Scott was of him leaning against the outside of the dugout, looking at his watch every few mins and looking thoroughly bored by events on the pitch.

You would get what is agreed in your contract. His new contract is based on the fact he achieved all targets so far.
Football manager is unlike any other job in that sometimes a decision needs to be made that breaks the contract, so they need protection.

Give him a 10 year deal then, make sure his family are okay for the foreseeable. All the players who have failed to perform should get new deals also, they have families too. Footballers/managers get paid handsomely, im sure he’ll be okay and back in a job (probably league 1, seems to be his level) in no time.

AJ won the 1st division easily, however in both cases he was in charge of reasonably well supported full time teams. What he was up against were part time teams with very small budgets. I believe his budget at EEP was 5 times the size of the competition. He never got the chance to work in the Championship with QOS before he jumped ship to go to Kilmarnock. Due to problems with the chairman he left. We all thought that he was the man for the job when we walked the 1st div. It would be nice if he walked but I doubt it. Perhaps my home town team will make him walk.
