Why do you think the fans are not right behind their team?

Most, including those who want AJ gone, will be there again on Saturday, applauding them out the tunnel and encouraging them to play a good game.

Not liking the manager does not equate to not supporting the team.

Maybe we need someone like yourself to lead the singing as well and get that atmosphere going.

Absolutely he has to stay. Stability is what we need, stability is what we have. It would do far greater harm than good if we let AJ go now.

For the record, he has my full support and is still the right man for the job.

...ken?

Our fans are crap. The opposition take the lead with 10 minutes to go and the mass exodus begins. Imagine how the players feel seeing that?

Yeah it’s the fans fault. We really need to suck it up , sit down and accept the utter drivel on the park.

There was no mass exodus anyway.

A few folk left after the goal, but not masses.

Everybody sitting around the area I was in, stayed to the bitter end, bar a couple who said they wanted to catch a bus before the road gets closed.

Few of us can say we haven't made mistakes on here or rattled off an ill advised rant and regretted it later. We can all get emotional. You are aiming for some sort of title though Wheelie. Lord of the Fuds or something. You just seem to be making your best effort to fall out with everyone.
You remind me of Stevie before he calmed doon a bit 😉

I'd completely agree with that. We'll just about have completed out 2nd quarter and can evaluate much better where we are against our targets.

If those targets aren't achievable or the board don't think he can achieve it then it would make more sense to give a new manager the January transfer window. If the board are happy and confident we can still achieve our targets then we obviously back him as much as possible in the window. Anything else is premature.

Edited to add this was @Raymies post.

Both Dundee clubs have since sacked their manager. Dundee were and still are losing to everybody and we were only good second half at Tannadice. The fact we are still looking back to performances in July and August at the end of October says it all.

Any manager who loses to us must fear for their job at the moment :) Archibald, McCann and Laszlo all gone and Falkirk had only just sacked their manager when we beat them.

For anyone who hadn't worked it out for themselves, AJ never willingly changes a winning team, so I was a bit surprised that there were no changes after the Irn Bru Cup exit to Alloa, even if we only lost on pens.

We'll surely see a few new faces in this week and like Mourinho last Saturday, he might just stumble onto his best starting XI. I'd like to see Beadling, Higgy, Williamson, Keena and Muirhead at least in contention for a starting berth, as it would be a bit optimistic to expect all five to start.

The issue is that how many of the fringe players have showed they are worth a chance with their performances in the reserves? I haven't seen any of those games but some of the reports have been less than favourable and we've been on the end of a couple of tankings with what seemed on paper reasonably strong squads.

That is one of the things I find frustrating about AJ- not changing a winning team. I'm not sure if thats superstition or whatever but he should be sending out the best team he can. I'm not a great fan of him, but I think we should give him till the mid point of the season at least, hopefully once some of the players return to full fitness we will get to see him best team.

There's another reserve game at Falkirk tomorrow where the fringe players and those returning from injury will no doubt get a chance to impress.

I think AJ has to stay ASI think he will turn it around !
We have good players at our club , we just need them to start producing the goods
In most games where we have lost points it wasn't the manager's fault most were actually down to individual errors so for me instead of the bickering between some that was rid of him it's times like this when we need to help the team over the line
None of us like the situation just now but I think it will change for the better soon
Biggest thing for me is I would like muirhead given a start instead of the light weights we use just now up front who won't pass to each other
Sorry I was side tracked there but for me AJ to stay

I wouldn’t say it was a homophobic insult, that certainly wasn’t my intention anyway, but I am sorry if you felt offended .

I gave it a couple of hours and that's the best you can come up with. I'll tell you it most definitely was a homophobic insult and if you can't see why you're even stupider than the majority of your posts suggest. To say "if you felt offended" is not even an apology. It suggests you think what you said is ok in your mind but you'll only apologise if I'm offended.

Pathetic. Have a long hard look at yourself.

Wind yer neck in you absolute drip feed. I didn’t want to have to embarrass you by having to point out that it isn’t actually a homophobic slur. I thought you’d have the good grace to accept the apology and we could move on. An erse banger is exactly what it is. A person who bangs their erse. It has absolutely zero homosexual connotations. Unless of course you are small minded enough to make that link. Erse banging must be a gay only activity eh??? Pathetic . You were told to grow up . You even got an apology . Funny how you chuck out an insult to me and I am man enough to take it. Grow up Paul.

I give up
