Certainly a different lineup.
So Keena is able to play from the start but he wouldn't bring him off the bench on Sat?

No matter the result, I like the lineup from AJ. The manager isn't the only one who hasn't been doing well enough this season, the players need to stand up and be counted tonight.

Muirhead still stealing a wage. Keena couldn’t get on the pitch on Saturday yet is first choice tonight. Vincent started but can’t even get on the bench tonight, beadling the same. Andy ryan came on and fluffed the only decent chance we had but gets a start. Does he just do a lucky dip?

Think longridge did his groin on sat, that’s about all he did.
Hope Keena is 6ft plus or it could be a long night for him.
I don’t get it with aj, the players who might make a difference either get 90 mins or they don’t get on at all. If we’re 1-0 down with 25 mins left you can bet McCann and l Martin come on while muirhead and faz warm the bench.

Quite an engrossing game. Can't agree that our defence is that awful. There has been the odd careless pass and they have been caught a couple of times, but I think are generally holding their line better than their opposite numbers at Caley who time and time again have been caught flat footed by our midfield and attack.
We should have at least four to be honest. Keena and Ryan were both through on goal at 2-1 and should have scored. But it is great to see we have a potent strike force at last. Both Keena's goals were beauties, especially the second.
Pretty happy with our midfield who are pressing really well and winning most contests. Hippo is sharper than of late and it is interesting to see Connolly playing a roving role - at times linking up with Hippo on the right, at others in the middle or out left. Thomson is doing well in an attacking midfield role while Martin is playing deeper, sometimes slotting in to make a five-man defence.
A bit tighter at the back Pars and more of the same elsewhere second half please.

Exactly. Considering how poor our form has been to be just 5 points from a play off spot is amazing.
Hopefully the players get a lift from tonight and we get a win on Saturday.
We can then kick on from that and hit a bit form and it won't be long til we are in a play off place.

Much better performance and more threatening going forward. Was an entertaining game with both sides looking to attack. Disappointing goals to lose but what a strike from Keenan for his second. Muirhead blasted a chance way into the stand near the end after surprisingly replacing Keena and Connolly unlucky hitting the bar. We gave the ball away too often though and Jackson L was lucky his mistake near the end didn’t lead to anything. Much better tempo to our play today with more direct running onto through balls. An improvement, and all in all good to get a point away from home against a team that has now gone 22 games unbeaten in the league.

<<How is Hippo playing?>>
I thought Hippo had a very good game, Marv.
He was very involved, put himself about and pressed and tackled well, spread the ball around finding his man most times. He certainly appeared to be up for it tonight, was active throughout the 90 minutes and looked quite comfortable on the right wing. Close to being MOM in my opinion.

It's not that amazing. Ross County and Dundee United will end up well clear of the pack I think. Ayr are on a great run, so fair play to them for being the surprise team. The rest are as average as each other, with Falkirk being the exception so far.

You said we're five points from 4th place, we're not. We're 6 points from a playoff spot. It's all well and good saying we've got 25 games to sort the GD out but a 12 goal swing against an Inverness side who tend to not lose allot of goals will be extremely difficult.

The only thing that annoys me on this forum is the fact that fans are happy to scrape in to the play offs. Do us fans not think we should be challenging for the top spot?''
Is that really the only thing that annoys you?
Nah! Pretty sure I pi55 him off sometimes 😁

I think the manager will eventually stumble on his best team soon and then we will go on a run.

1970par posted earlier saying the defending wasn't that bad. I'm confused. Were you at the game?

Whats up with commentary .
Sorry Rigger, as has been said already my binoculars steemed up with the freezing temperatures and they wouldn't clean! Thankfully it seemed to adjust and clear as the first-half went on.
Apologies again for the lack of commentary first-half and thanks for your understanding with the situation. 👍

Didn't expect anything but a defeat last night so a point is a bonus.
Wasn't there but the performance must've been better than recent ones (wouldn't be difficult though) to get a point, so hopefully take that into Saturday's game.

While it's slightly disappointing we were twice in front and conceded quickly each time, it's unbelievable that some folk don't think a point at Inverness isn't a decent result, given our recent form. Results tend to come in runs. Teams can go on a run of good results followed by poor run and vice versa. We've had a poor sequence. Fingers crossed that last night was the start of a positive run.
''Or a pint against a team who has won 3 games all season. Depends how you want to address the stats up like Gg Riva says. Anyway I’m happy with a point.''
Atta boy, 1981! I was beginning to think you were starting to sink into that deep, dark hole again. Being a Par who goes to every game can do that to you. :-(
Up at 5 am, too. Fat lot of good you're going to be at your work today..... :-)
“Enforced”.
Why not just say they are injured....if that’s the case?''
Getting a bit picky now, Parbucks. Are you sure AJ said that or maybe just the guy who does the updates on COWS showing his linguistic dexterity? :-)

Enforced absence doesn't have to mean injured. People need time off for a variety of reasons. Bereavements, sick family member, important appointment. Or maybe just tired or fell out with manager so didn't travel.

Keena's second goal is on COWS Twitter feed - some strike from at least 30 yards out.

Was the left back who scored so hippos man. Hippolyte barely broke into a jog to stop the him getting to it.

It looked a bit fortunate on Caley's part. The pass wasn't intended for the goalscorer by the looks of things and Hippo is tracking back but looks like he switched off momentarily.Their second goal looks like a clear lunge in the middle of the park and should've been a foul-poorly defended after that though.

Pleased with the result and the 2 goals. The 'enforced changes' comment seems to allude to more than injuries. So there's something he's holding back imo.
Very interesting to see so many changes given his usual M.O. Almost seemed like he was going for broke.

Hippolyte all day long, it’s the left back not left winger who scored. Poor show not tracking back and bursting a gut to win the ball
Craigen marking his man, if he goes to the ball simple pass inside leaves him exposed.

Do we know that it was AJ who described the changes as " enforced", or was it just whoever updates COWS?

“We have a couple of injuries - Tom Beadling, James Vincent - guys like that"
Going by AJ's post match interview Beadling and Vincent were injuries and the rest sound like they were just dropped. Altho Longridge went off with what looked a groin injury on Sat?

"Wasn’t this a re-arranged fixture?
Maybe players had some prior engagements they couldn’t cancel?"
No, it was always on the schedule - there was a full card this midweek except for Dundee Utd v Partick as they moved the game to the blank Saturday they had having both been knocked out the Irn Bru Cup AFAIR.
