I'm bored with this clown now and his latest antics after being hit by what must have been a bazooka considering his delayed collapse was pathetic. Then he claims he will reconsider his position.......surely if hibs are a responsible club they should take some form of action around his petulance and demonstrate to everyone in football that Lennon is not bigger than the club. As it stands he absolutely is!

No excuse for being hit by a missile from the crowd but he is a fud of the highest order
Perhaps if he conducted himself with some decorum it would not happen, it does not happen to other managers so why him?
Makes himself a bit of a target I’m afraid

It’s a difficult one as his behaviour on the touch line is way over the top.
Yet I like him as a pundit where he is quite articulate and informative. I’ve come across a few work colleagues in the west including Rangers fans who have seen him out and about and say he is a nice guy.
Did he not also spend quite a bit of time post match on DA Day with some of the kids? Clearly not all bad.

Not sure I agree. Lennon took sickening abuse for 90mins from the Hearts fans and gave a bit back. Surely if you can give it out , you can take it back ??? That’s the problem with Hearts fans , they are absolute vermin . Obviously not all their fans but a sizeable percentage of them are what I would class as utter scum. Speaking from personal experience , If you were to have the misfortune to end up in a room with five hearts fans then the chances are that 3 out of those 5 Hearts fans would be absolute c*nts !

I think it's easy to sit on a keyboard and judge people.
I think it's less easy to live with abuse as part of your day to day life and not lose your cool now and again.
Neil Lennon isn't responsible for football fans anger management issues.

Whatever anyone's thought are on Lennon's personality or character, these cannot be used to excuse or justify what happened to him during the derby.
To say ''he brings it on himself'' is just another way of saying ''he deserves all he gets.'' That's just what the morons responsible for the coin throwing need to hear.
How will it end? Bullets in the post, again, or beat him up on a night out, maybe?

I take it anyone who says Lennon brings it on himself also think girls wearing short skirts deserve to be sexually assaulted? Or that people who take part in political protests deserve to get battered by policemen using trunceons? After all, they're "asking for it", aren't they? Get a grip of yourselves, would you?

Being pragmatic, he probably wouldn't have got the coin thrown at him if he didn't react but that is ignoring the problem at Tynecastle. They are the mini gers, but at least Rangers fans will admit their problems. Hearts fans are (in my experience) the most arrogant unpleasant group in Scottish football. I have no doubt of the type of abuse being aimed at Lennon during the game that made him react like that.
Twice now he has been assaulted there. Any other country in the World and that club would be playing to empty stands, but here someone can run onto the pitch punch the manager in the face live on tv and still get found not guilty in court.

Brings it upon himself seem to be the common statement this week
Nothing to do with being a red headed catholic from the North Of Ireland who happened to play for Celtic ?
Oh and he is passionate about his sport, and likes the occasional wind up..as does Jose M....but who gets beat up in the street, bullets sent to him, death threats, assaulted at Tynecastle by a fan yet even though this incident was live on TV the assailant was found not proven ffs
Aye its his fault right enough

Rodgers never played for Celtic or N.Ireland.
As far as I'm aware Lennon didn't get abuse playing for N.Ireland when he was in English football, it all started when he signed for Celtic which is apparently a "crime" to some idiots.

If a Hibs players had gestured to the Hearts support as NL did he would have been booked, and rightly so.
Lennon should set an example to his players and fans with a bit of self control and discipline - and quit playing the "always the victim" card when it suits his purpose.
He is his own worst enemy at times, but won't admit that to himself.
There is no justification for ever throwing anything at a football match in any circumstances, for the record.

O'Neill never played for Celtic. The serious abuse of Lennon started with his first home game for N.Ireland after signing as a Celtic player.

We live in weird times where you are either right or wrong and no inbetween.
Whatever happened to the point of view there are several factions that are simply wrong?
Lennon likes the wind up of opposing fans and has done it several times.
He's been close to fighting fellow managers such as McCoist and Jim Duffy.
The aforementioned disgusting comment to Greg Shields as a player and several more.
That's part of his character so he's not whiter than white and goading fans in an Edinburgh derby in the final minute after a disallowed goal is indeed asking for trouble if we are going to be realistic about it having watched football for decades.
The other side of the coin to use a phrase is that it is unnaceptable for fans to throw objects and attack players on the field.
Until the authorities start docking points which is the only real thing that would hurt the big clubs then we're going to see more of this nonsense.
If you only turn up to moan then do it elsewhere

It was half the Celtic team at that time who used to wind up the opposition about wages. They did it against all opposition to try and provoke. Sutton, Lennon, Thompson, even Larsson. Speak to any professional of that period. Whether it came from the odious Martin O'Neill or just the players themselves, who knows? For sure, Greg Ross and the Pars were not the only ones goaded in this way, it happened to clubs bigger and higher than ours.

In no way is this some kind of apology or justification, but some players will go to any length to upset their opponents so as to affect their concentration and their game. It's by no means confined to Celtic players, but the one alleged above is more abhorrent than most. Maybe not the most effective though.
If an opponent said that to me during a game, I think it would increase my motivation to beat him and his team.

Simon Ferry - who was a Celtic youth team player breaking through at that time - does a weekly sit down interview on his youtube channel with current and ex-pros.
He has told a few stories of the hazing that the youth team players (McGeady in particular) would get off senior pros at the time, all under the guise of 'character building', to toughen them up.
So i could quite believe that they were just as mouthy to opposing players

Not condoning using verbal insults in anyway, but they can certainly inflame passion and cause retaliation, which is of course their intended effect.
Just look at Zidane in his last European final, or to a lesser scale, the reaction McCoist got after whispering something in Lennon's ear at a game some years ago.
It's sneaky and horrible, but sometimes effective. All the worse since the offenders can rarely be caught and shamed themselves.

''Mach 1. Zidane head butted the opposition player in the World Cup final due to racial abuse.''
No, he didn't, eeap. Initially, both Zidane and Marco Materazzi refused to speak about the incident, but years later, they opened up.
Materazzi had just grabbed Zidane's shirt for the umpteenth time, so Zizou says, ''If you want my top that badly, I'll give it to you after the game.''
Back came the Italia with, ''No thanks, I'd rather have your sister...''
The implication of that in their culture being that Zidane's sister was a bit of a slapper, at which the Frenchman lost the plot.
