It always surprises me when subs, who have usually played less than a third of a game, are nominated as MOM. I think Jackson L probably deserved it for his goal. It made up for his defensive howler last week.

Higgy - We looked like a different team when he came on.

Things started happening up front, we stopped looking slow and deliberate in the build up.

I think the secret of any good side is that different players will step up at different times. Scoring goals from players in different positions on the park is a good thing. A good result today. No goals given away cheaply. Pressuring the opposition by shooting from outside the box gets us on the front foot psychologically.

I know that I'm supposed to say the name of one of our players. However to me the Alloa goalkeeper was the MOM.

I thought Hippo had his best game in a Pars jersey - and I have not been impressed since he joined the club.

Long may he continue to prove me wrong.

Good to see Hippo putting in a few performances. Seems more suited to the wing than up top

I think either Andy, Higgy, Hippo, or Robbo.
I have to say that Andy doesn’t half do some moaning in a shift, I spotted him moaning at someone almost every time the play stopped.

Our away form is still better than our home form, here’s hoping the lads can turn that around next week.

agree 1981. Everyone will be talking about the playoffs and how we're the form team again next week when we beat failkirk.

They will then be in meltdown when we loose the following games against the decent teams in this league.

Its the results against the top 6 which will make or break our season. At this point its break.

That particular one highlighted by wee eck comes up so often though.

It's no big deal, but just better to be correct if possible.

I find it very encouraging that so many players have been touted for MotM.

Berkey and 1981par should meet up and get a good few jars inside them before a game. They just might enjoy it more.

Looking at their posts makes me think they'll be a blast at parties.....😉

All the more disappointing, as the Pars have picked up 4 points from two tricky away games. I'd have thought it would have been relatively easy to take some positives out o that.....☹

I don't see how anyone could give it to Longridge either, and certainly I'd agree that it's each to their own, but personally I can't see how anyone would give it to Andy Ryan either. Won very little against the centre halves, has a first touch that means his second is a tackle, missed a sitter as well as getting lucky that he was flagged offside when he blew yet another one on one (speaking of which he was offside far too often). I liked him when he joined but I don't think he's improved over the last 18 months or so. Maybe that's a lack of game time, but maybe he's not just cut out for it.

Falkirk are a shambles, who’s not beating them every week? Same with Partick.

I’ll be positive when we start beating the top 6 teams and haul ourselves into contention. United feels like a long long time ago and we haven’t followed it up.

Falkirk are improving with the 5 at the back formation. From the comments I've read, there was nothing in it against Ayr and County.

Think it will be a harder game than last time.

Still think we should be looking for 3 point minimum.

I think Hippo and Martin put in really good shifts on Saturday. Higgy did pretty well when he came on and certainly had an impact, but on the down side, he overhit a few crucial passes. In his defence, that may have been due to the plastic pitch surface.

Higgy for me, totally changed dynamic of the game when he came on.

Hippolyte also had his best game i've seen for us. Been very unimpressed aside from that so credit where it's due.

I can't see Falkirk being the walkovers they were last time out. That would be way too much to expect. We all know that AJ doesn't like to change a winning side, but if Falkirk are, as SN says, improving with five at the back, then AJ may well need to tweak the lineup.

Given the performance on Saturday, he might be tempted accommodate Higgy in the starting eleven.

He could put him back on the right wing to link-up with Williamson, but that would be unfair to Hippo who has played well there in recent games.

There could be a temptation to put Hippo on the left, replacing Connolly who is blowing hot and cold at the moment.

Alternatively, AJ could put Higgy in for Thomson to link up with Martin in the centre. That could be interesting, but the lack of height in the middle might become an issue. Robinson would certainly have to improve the accuracy of his kicks out to that right of centre area, which is where he plants most of them.

Up front, Keena is surely a must, but finding a partner who poses a goal threat is the challenge.

Faiss and Ryan have really disappointed this season. Is it a confidence thing? I don't know. There comes a point where you have to wonder if it is not just bad luck and simply that they are not up to it. Muirhead has looked unfit and uninterested whenever he has played, so finding the right combination is a big problem for AJ.

I cringe now when I see Faiss and Ryan teamed up front. We can't play two short men against tall and sturdy defenders. Goodness knows how many times it has been tried, but it just hasn't worked. With the striker options we currently have, one should sub the other, and if Keena has to come off then Muirhead ought to replace him.
