Does Higgy start against Falkirk or is it too soon?

I honestly think he is soo under rated. Yes he can annoy us at times but I’d rather get beat trying than play boring football

Definite starter, our most creative player

Williamson is a different player when Higgy is on the park and his rampaging runs down the right become a major attacking factor

I feel that AJ built his team at the start of the season to play with five at the back to accommodate both Williamson and Longridge (j) playing forward roles being fed from Higgy in the middle, this worked well in the League cup and away at Utd before being binned after a few set backs

I’m not suggesting we return to five at the back however we can still push one or other full back forward with a back four, Higgy can pick out these players with the vision he has

We all know that he can be frustrating and wasteful but when it comes off then the football on show is very entertaining and so much better than the turgid huff and puff of the games during our poor run where we were unable to open teams up

He does love to play against Falkirk too

I think if we see a good performance from him in the reserve game today vs Morton (assuming he's playing) then he's in with a good shout of starting. Been missing players like him this year, little to no width in a lot of games.

AJ has history in playing players who are half fit so I'd expect him to start regardless. Although he also doesn't tend to change a team which won its previous game.

If higgy starts than Williamson will start too, might aswell as Falkirk are not offering much on the park just now and will be trying to sit in.

The 3-5-2 could've worked if we signed centre backs that were suitable.

Devine and Durnan are too slow and cumbersome and Ash isn't suited to playing it either. The wider centre backs need to be quick to cover the extra gaps. Even the middle centre back needs to be quick as they can easily become isolated through the middle too. Like Durnan against ICT.

Higgy is a risk taker and sometimes you have to do that. I think we get in behind teams better when he plays and we seem to carry a better all round threat.
For those reasons he'd be in my team most weeks.

I would also look at J Longridge as he shows great commitment in the tackle and would lead by example.

not sure what captaincy would do for higgy......if he's having an off day that's not much of an example to set others.

Not for me, Hippolyte deserves the slot on the right after two good games. Should wait until we have poor performance or result.

Think if he is fully fit then Connolly will make way for him with Hippolyte switching to the left flank.

I was very happy to see him back on the park last weekend, and noticed he scored in the Reserves team mid-week.

I get the feeling he would love to start for the game this week.

Who is going to buy Hippo? He is dross min! We are stuck with him for 2 season's another shocker from AJ to think he brought him and Connolly in to replace Cardle is an absolute joke!

Definitely start him if we want to lose possession and hit the first defender with deliveries into the box...

Higgy scored with a neat wee lob after seeing the Morton goalie off his line in the reserve game.
He had plenty time to pick his spot, but still had to weight it right.
