Muirhead had a header well saved by the keeper but GM have hit the woodwork twice.

Pretty even game as game moves into halftime

Pars twitter - Half-Time at New Central Park and it is Dunfermline Athletic 0-0 Greenock Morton at the break. The Ton have been the better team but neither goalkeeper has been overly tested. Both with one good save each as the players head into the dressing room at the interval.

Morton twitter -HT: Dunfermline Reserve 0-0 Morton Reserves. It's goalless at half-time here in Kelty, but it's not for the want of trying. The Cappielow kids have gone close on a number of occasions and were twice denied by the woodwork.

That's more like it. Anyone there who can report on how Lewis Martin and Muirhead played. From the Twitter feed Muirhead seemed to be more involved than he has been up to now.

Martin sold at LB overall. Got forward more in the second half and was denied by their GK late on.

Muirhead was quiet in the first period but most Pars attackers were. Linked well with McCann in the second 45 and scored a good goal. Was denied twice with decent free-kick chances too.

Overall, a comfortable victory in the end. As I said on the DAFC Twitter at HT, the first half was scrappy with neither GK making a massive amount of saves. Yes, Morton had more shots at goal but most were high or wide and never troubling Gill in goals.

Second half, Gill had very little to do and we took control after we made it 1-0: Higgy and Ryan Williamson looked lively down the right, which was great to see. Nice for the young boys to show a bit dig, keep a clean sheet and score a few goals.

A good days work overall for the Pars! 👍

Nice to get a win and a clean sheet. No Beadling in the line up. Does anyone know if his injury has flared up again?
