Sterling: tell the ref he fell over his own feet?
Or if Ref refuses to change decision, Jesus ensures his name liveth forever more by hitting the corner flag?

Ref to blame for that one. Sterling didn’t even appeal for the penalty

The mowhawk (also referred to as a mohican) is a hairstyle in which, in the most common variety, both sides of the head are shaven, leaving a strip of noticeably longer hair in the centre.

Shouldve out the ball out for a goal kick.....but money talks and they had a chance of making the last 16 with a win so goals needed

looked like pep was telling the fourth official he fell over his own feet.i think arsenal set a precedent way back under venger when arsenal scored after getting a throw in because of injury and belted it in to the net.venger ordered them to allow the other side to score direct from kick off.(my mind might be scrambled but wasn't it stevie crawford that walked it in to the net)
anyway pep should have told him to miss.

I remember Robbie Fowler getting a pen against Arsenal despite his protests that it wasn't a penalty.

Didn’t Fowler miss the penalty but someone scored from the resulting rebound ?

I'm sure Andrey Arshavin got a penalty for Arsenal and told the ref it wasn't and he corrected the decision.

So by that logic every time a defender commits a blatant foul in the area and the ref doesn't give it he should tell the ref it was a penalty? I won't hold my breath.

VAR would have overturned that decision last night, though that official behind the goal had a much better view than the ref and did nothing.

Wasnt Arsenal but it was Crawford when he played for Plymouth. Might have been the 04-05 season.

Was it not against Bristol City when Gary Johnson was in charge?

The Arsenal one was against Sheff Utd in the FA Cup. Arsenal won the match, but it ended up being replayed at Bramall Lane, where Arsenal won again, IIRC.
