Has just signed for Raith Rovers.

Not really sure what the story was with him. Thought when he came on a few times, he looked quick and likely to make things happen.

Definite potential, just needed a run of games which he couldn't get here. Hope he does well for the rovers.

Where has he been since August?

Does his signing mean the Rovers aren't interested in signing Joe Cardle?

Behave, PuP. You'll have all the AJ haters out in force.

I hope Armstrong does well for the Rovers and that they come back up to the Championship, so that if we don't go up this season, we'll have 4 derby games to look forward to - especially if our friends from Grangemouth hold on to bottom place.

With regard to Armstrong, I agree we didn't see much of him while he was at EEP, but that doesn't automatically mean it was AJ's fault. The way I see it, players have to convince the manager in training and in the games they get on, that he can't afford NOT to play them.....

I'm not saying that was the case with Armstrong and maybe AJ should have persisted with him and given him a longer run, but he has to make difficult decisions regarding team selection every week and he isn't going to get these right every time. Once he starts to get too many wrong, it usually costs the manager his job.

Different players can flourish at different clubs. It's a funny old game... Apparently 🤔

That's not how Jimmy Greaves pronounced it, Widders, but this is a family friendly forum.....😃

Got 10mins in most games when pressure was on.

Might have been good, might of been bad but given aj is useless at subs rovers can find out for us.

Just sitting here drenched in my own negativity!

If he's that good how come he's been playing with himself since June.

He was played centrally here as well, not the winger that everyone thinks he is, but that is certainly an AJ trait playing "forward" players in all the roles.

I think he had something about him but unfair to judge him on his appearances here.
Many on here thought Tomas Danilevičius was a donkey too but I thought he was a decent player in a pretty poor team.
Went on to earn 71 caps, nearly as many as Skerla did.
