 So hypothetically...

If AJ is sacked tomorrow morning (which he absolutely must be in my opinion) who do we bring in? Neilson and Mcintyre out of the picture, my heart wants to see Brewster anf Crawford but not sure how progressive that is. Ideally Darren Young but can’t see us having the budget to sack AJ and buy out Young’s contract. Is there anyone forward thinking left?

Goodwin would get them working and more importantly tackling. McCall wouldn’t move I don’t think. Too late for the likes of billy Davies.

Not sure what else there is......wait until hopkin gets punted from Bradford?

Just sitting here drenched in my own negativity!

Why do they have to be Scottish?

Darren Ferguson would be an interesting and different option but unlikely to leave English football id expect.

on buying out a contract, who knows what clauses some managers/coaches have, whether a club wouldn't stand in someones way etc so it wouldn't just be limited to out of work managers/coaches.

After the match yesterday in Legends someone punted the name of David Moyes as senior coach assisted by Stevie Crawford. Laughed out of court. But in hindsight he is out of work, probably does not need to work again (after his Man United severance) and might see getting the Pars back to the SPL as a means of getting his career back on track? Probably very, very unlikely.

Are you for real? If so I’d suggest a dark room.....

Moyes is 7/2 favourite for Southampton if Hughes goes. Also I’m the running for USA national job.

Why would even the daftest poster think he’d come to the Scottish Championship...oh because he played 30 games 25 years ago

Moyes would get paid more if he appeared on Match of the Day and farted the theme tune than if he signed a one year contract with us.

Ian McCall has been quoted as saying the Pars job is the only one he’d leave Ayr for....

Ian McCall would be the standout candidate. He’d be mental to leave ayr at this point though, they don’t look like slipping up and will definitely be in the play offs. David hopkin is surely only a couple more bad results away from the punt, no idea if he’d move back up here though. Jim Goodwin has his Alloa team organised and very difficult to beat, even though there’s not a single one of them a better player than what we have IMO.

Used to have the odd blether with McCall when he was manager at Utd as i lived in student digs just round from Tannadice and would often see him about.

Always spoke very highly of his time here although in hindsight it might have been a fondness for Leishman rather than the club itself.

—————

Where was this quoted?
This is the first of me hearing such a thing, and I’d like to see this quote with my own eyes, not someone else’s eyes, but my very own eyes. I just don’t believe this so called quote exists,
Even if he did say this, I doubt he’d leave A high flying team to come to us.

It was doing the rounds a few years back unsure if there’s much truth in it.

We got style and we got grace

Darren Young for me. Would think he'd have a clause in his contract allowing him to speak to full time clubs?

Darren Young, surely a huge risk at Championship level.
Remember AJ was a great manager in League 1.
