Even if this is tongue in cheek, it is daft.

Let us compare our Home League Form with last season at this point.

At Home Wins 1 Draws 1 Defeats 5.Goals For 2 Against 10.

Last Season Wins 4 Draws 2 Defeats 1 Goals For 18 Against 9.

I would argue that our defence of Craigen.Ashcroft ,Durnan and Longridge can be compared to last year's.Lee Robinson is more than competent. Our midfield from Beadling,L Longridge,Vincent,Martin,Thomson and, possibly,Craigen is as strong as anything we have had since 2011.

The problem is all up front where only Higgy is on form.Allan's team was set up correctly and there were good balls into the box.He could not legislate for the ghastly miss in the first minute.

What is the solution? Phone Super Joe.Second find a target man and soon.If we go on like this, the crowd will melt like snow off the dyke.

I agree Sliema. Goals for at home is the problem.

yip defence is find with craigen back in.

Midfield isn't that bad, martin tidy on the ball but not playing far enough forward for me,

We need good wingers and a big striker.

God we are not that bad.

Keeper wise we must have the best in the division especially when Murdoch is fit and Robinson is generally good.

Defence apart from small blip at the start we are solid.

Midfield is generally ok.

Striker is the problem. We can’t score. When we do come over that hurdle then that will change our season.

Did I just write a positive post. I must be drunk

We need a decent striker but doesn't need to be big. Dobbie, Mckay, Shankland etc-none of them are the biggest but they know where the goals are and take up good positions.A central midfielder that can get box to box and chip in with a few goals would be nice-who was the last central midfielder we had that pitched in with a good amount of goals? We seem to have been restricted with a lack of mobility in there for a while.Agreed we could do with some width with pace and decent delivery too.

Parathletic, you either need quality on the wings who can deliver great accurate crosses for smaller strikers or average wingers crossing to big strikers to who can make those balls into something.

At the moment we the average winger part nailed. Signing more small strikers won’t help.

Would you turn down Dobbie because he is 5ft 7? Ability far outweighs size unless you are in the Gordon Strachan train of thought. Delivery matters but you also need strikers who can create space for themselves, make the right runs and get in front of defenders.

I fail to see what Dobbie would do with our long punts aswell but his intelligent movement and dropping deeper would link the play and help our wingers. This is something Ryan and faz don’t offer the team.

To recap: yes it is the front two which is the weakness.

The rest of the squad is more than serviceable.

Higgy is bang on form,as we witnessed on Saturday, but we have not replaced Declan and Nicky.

I cannot comment on Muirhead and Keena as we have not seen enough of either yet.

The same McManus that cause us a play-off final spot last season after a shocking sitter...?

Football without the fans is nothing!

I liked both Clark and McManus, and was sorry to see them leave.

But their league stats for this season so far show Clark scoring 1 goal, and McManus none.

Clarks hardly played due to injury and been unable to get in the team since he returned. Think he's started one game and is still outscoring the majority of our strikers.

McManus was poor in the second half of last season and has no goalscoring threat.

Higgy is bang on form? While he put a great shift and showed the passion and fight the others are missing, apart from that shot in the first minute I don't remembering him creating much or putting any quality into the box.

His understanding with casper the friendly right back was what I would call "rusty" to the say the least.

I take it you never watched the second half ? Higgy had two shots at goal and was unlucky with both. I get that in times of dire results, negative posters like yourself absolutely thrive but you are trying just a little too hard.
