That’s because they actually have an awful team on paper, unlike us. At least their board are backing the team and allowing 6-8 players to sign in January. I’ll never understand why they shut their youth academy though.

Has inherited the previous managers utter sheight.
They had to change the manager at least he will be able to sort the dross out in January, changing the manager is one thing getting the timing right is another. Hence why if we are to change, the new man should get December to look at the squad.

BTW this is the "much improved " Falkirk all the happy clappers were claiming beat us.

Yeah the players at Falkirk are truly rotten so you can't help but sympathise with whoever was going to get that job.

They were still capable of beating us though..embarrassing stuff.

Falkirk closed the youth academy on money grounds, it was an unsustainable drain on their finances.

They didnt beat us because they have improved. The beat us because they were extremely lucky.

I don’t think they were lucky. Granted, we should have had the game wrapped up in the first half but in the second they were the better team (only because we were so bad).

According the Falkirk fans I work with VEE, they closed it to provide funds for Hartley in the summer. They’ve made millions from that academy based on the players they’ve sold in the last 10 or so years.

Don't believe they were lucky either, the games 90mins long, enough time to make the game your own.

Nah thy closed the academy about 4 years ago.

They’ve made a killer from it! 6 figure sums for, of the top of my head, jay fulton, kallum higginbotham, Murray Wallace, Stephen Kingsley and botti biabi. Sure the later being 1M.

Wonder where all that money went

One shots all you need. They defended well for 90mins, prevented us from scoring, they took their opportunity when it came. Came with a game plan and it worked.

I thought they defended pretty poorly.

If Ryan had scored we'd have won comfortably. Goals change everything in football.

Imagine if Israel had equalised....the mess the country would've been.

Still if her ma had baws...

They rattled the bar about 5 minutes before they scored.

Well done the warriors beating their wee team rivals, I watched the youtube highlights and well taken goals in the 4-2 win. The 18 year old's brace was good he really attacks the ball in the air which I sadly miss seeing at EEP.

When you watch the highlights of that game it makes you wonder how we ever lost to them. They are utterly garbage in every area but mostly at the back. Stenny managed four goals and we couldn't even register one. The fact that this Falkirk side could still stay up is baffling but still fairly likely.

It was ME who suggested maybe they had improved based on them drawing with Ross County and running Ayr close. Then they beat us, and since then have drawn with Patrick and lost to Stenny.

I revise my opinion !

No doubt about it, they're mince !

(Oops - the bu**ers'll probably go on a run now, jist tae spite me!)

Nah, just the gays we’ve got recent history of verbally abusing....

On a serious note they do have a section of really vile fans amongst them. I hope any racists are caught and punished.

It was (as I’m sure you knew) a tongue in cheek(!) reference to the time our chairman had to make a board statement about homophobic chanting from the stands during a league game, which was then followed up by homophobic chants against the chairman at a subsequent game at Falkirk.

I remember a line of argument about the song in question “not being homophobic” on this forum back when it was debated. That argument being that “taking it up the ar5e” was not necessarily homophobic because you don’t have to be gay to enjoy that particular sexual activity. But let’s not go into semantics too much and please just accept my mild insinuation that every club has their own issues, and we have our own wee element who like to cross the line at times. Racists, homophobes, bigots, they can all do one and let us enjoy the beautiful game.

They were a much improved team on the lead up to playing us, and then they beat us.

That's what AJ said in his managers message prior to the game.
However in the two games before playing us ( they were at home) they managed no shots on target, yup not one, the goal they "scored" was an own goal. They are poor, we dominated them for an hour ( 15 shots v 3) they are not "much improved"

It all depends on how you define 'much improved'.

From what I saw at Falkirk, they could improve and still be utter shoite. That said they still managed to beat us.
