Pathetic defending for both of their goals, especially the space given to the scorer of the first during the corner.

Criminal elbow from Higgy when no need. Should have part of his wages docked imo.
Things are bad enough without losing one of our better attackers for possibly several games.

If the linesman had been doing his job he should have flagged for the foul on Higgy. The player was pulling at him and Higgy was stupid enough to get free by using his elbow. No wonder he was so angry as he left the pitch. He should have waited until later, yes it was a stupid thing to do but at least he shows passion.

Sorry that's not passion that's petulant stupidity.

Passion is going into 50 50s with everything you've got, passion is doing the dirty work like tracking your runners so it's not your man that's getting free and attacking the team, passion is not ducking at balls that are about to scon you in the puss and hurt like buggery, passion is a lung bursting run for 50 yards when your shattered to try and give a team mate an option and when he doesn't give it to you, getting back into position to help the team defend and win the ball back.

Elbowing an opponent for a minor niggle is nothing like passion. I virtually never single out one of players to give them stick but that was indefensible and should never be getting palmed off as a passionate mistake.

He’s been a liability since the day he walked in the door. If he’s not getting sent off for stuff like that he’s trying ludicrous flicks and tricks that rarely come off and invariably end up putting us in trouble.

He has about one good game in ten and some people think he’s some sort of Messiah. He’s basically just a solid indictment of Johnston’s last 18 months in charge.

the guy has anger issues that need addressed. How anyone can think a grown adult behaving like a kid is ok because he was provoked is baffling. There is no excuse for belting a fellow professional then causing damage to the surrounding area. If that happened in the street he would have been arrested and been charged with criminal damage. If that was a county player at our place it would be interesting to see if people still thought it was acceptable.

Agree with clarko, yes he works hard and puts a shift in but doesn’t have enough quality. Can’t take a dead ball and although he tries things he end up loosing the ball and leavers teammates caught of position.

He’s consistently poor with the odd good game where as we need the other way round.

I’d like to think we can get better in, although given the other wingers we’ve brought in this season they all have contributed very little this season.

Higginbotham's favoured position is as a number ten. It seems odd to me that we've never went to a 4-2-3-1 with Higginbotham, L. Longridge and Thomson buzzing about behind a main striker and 2 holding players providing some protection to the back four allowing Williamson and J. Longridge to get forward.

Problem is we don't have anyone who can play as the '1'. Muirhead appears the best suited to that kind of role but has looked a yard short on pace. Our other strikers are more effective as the finisher in a partnership, but for that to work we need a Moffat/Brewster type to hold the ball up and play them in.

Absolutely idiotic. He should be fined 2 weeks wages for the games that he’ll miss. His Herbalife stuff should keep him ticking over in that time.

Spot on. Our best ever player, imo, Alex Edwards, used to be targeted in almost every game he played, because the opposition knew there was a chance he would react and get himself sent off. I think he may have been sent off around a dozen times in his career. Even when he wasn't sent off, he could ge put off his game, trying to get even with someone who'd kicked him......

Higgy was an obvious target. His temperament and sel discipline is suspect. Nothing to do with passion.

Having watched the clip again it’s a total overreaction, especially when he kicks the boards on the way off. The County defender must’ve said something to him to get him wound up. He totally lost the head.

How many res cards has Higgy had in his career?

You ever elbowed someone in the face at work?

Nope, which makes Higgys “mistake” 10x worse. If I was to assault someone at work I would be arrested and sacked.........but then again, you can assault someone at football as a sign of “passion”

No football player should elbow an opposition player. However football is a contact sport, whereas working in a call centre, for example, is not. If you were to make ‘contact’ with a colleague in an office environment you could be in serious trouble! 😂

The mowhawk (also referred to as a mohican) is a hairstyle in which, in the most common variety, both sides of the head are shaven, leaving a strip of noticeably longer hair in the centre.

As Deadly Duncan Ferguson found out, you can still end up in bother if you lamp someone on a football pitch.

Not that I'm implying the Higgy incident was anywhere near the DF one.
