We are due a home win, and we’ll get it this weekend.
This weeks win will herald the start of our ascent up the league.

This is a must win. If we lose this, I don't see how the manager can survive. Indeed, I think we need a confident win rather than a scrappy handed-to-us-on-a-plate win otherwise the pressure will still be there. Morton are pretty ordinary so we should win, but that hasn't been a guarantee so far this season.

We're currently 5 points behind them, that tells you everything you need to know. Some folk still seem to think we're good though and are just victims of bad luck.

There's no question we've had some bad luck in some games, but equally, you have to go out and make your own luck. Besides, we don't know how much good or bad luck other teams in our league have had relative to the Pars.

Off the top of my head, I'd say the results v Falkirk and QOS at home were absolute travesties, but we were lucky to beat Partick.

It’s all going to change this week, GG.

This will be the start of our revival, and we will be sending a message to the rest of the league.

Being a home-only supporter, and having missed the early Irn Bru cup games, I haven't seen us win yet this season (I don't count the Partick game on Alba). In fact, I've only seen 2 goals (against Alloa in the Irn Bru cup ... I'm ignoring the penalty shoot-out).

So, it's either a comfortable home win (at last), 4-1 ... or another 0-1 defeat. On a Friday morning, I'm glass half-full.

The mists are clearing...
I can see a contest of biblical proportions with one team emerging victorious and the other team being dejected in defeat...
Or maybe a draw...🤔

I think we’re due a win...surely!!

As an optimistic glass half-full type of guy and given the phenomenon of regression to mean (we might just start scoring again) for me season starts today with a win. Here’s hoping anyway.

Great first half today with 2 goals and 2 hits on woodwork.
Naturally, Morton improved a bit in the second half, but we handled the pressure well.
Don't think anyone had a bad game and I felt Thomson, Williamson and Faissal edged it for MOM nominations
More of the same please.

In what way did Morton improve? They were terrible, they maybe had more of the ball but done nothing with it, don't even think Robinson made a save in the 2nd half.

Agree saline, we backed off and sat deep for most of the second half and pretty much gave the ball away constantly but they didn’t have any quality to even look like scoring. Not sure if us getting the early goal knocked thier gameplan, they were more open than most teams who come to east end tho.

Williamson was pretty average but that’s a decent game for him, still very hestitant and unwilling to compete in a 50-50. What on earth was he doing when he mangled himself in the second half? Longridge was poor today too, gave the ball away loads and resorted to aimless punts up the park rather than trying to pick someone out.

Muirhead looked useful at times, seemed a bit slow and not convinced he’s even decent in the air for his size but is at last contributing, should have scored his chance.

Just sitting here drenched in my own negativity!

I think williamson just over ran the ball and fell over
Thought muirhead was decent, won his fair share in the air, should have scored but at least his shot wasn't just a passback and forced keeper push it out rather than a effort like the passback effort of Fais 5 minutes before

Also in the build up the the muirhead chance /3rd goal the morton bouncing off muirhead was funny as ****

I thought highly of Morton when Williamson hurt himself. He was of the pitch but they still stopped play, I can only think that they thought his injury was worse than it was.

most of them wanted to play on but im guessing Buchanan seeing an ex team mate possibly in trouble it got the better of him, a few had a right go at him after it too.

This.

Their left back (No.3) in particular was going mental at him.

Seemed a bit strange that the ref didn't stop it - while he was off the pitch, it wasn't like he was well off the playing surface and could still have interfered with play or been trod on etc. by anyone going up that wing - when he did in the first half for a Morton player being down even though Morton had possession and wanted to keep playing.

From the Norrie in the first half I saw Williamson making three decent tackles on their wide player but I understand that some don't rate him.
He was miles better than in his last two games imo.

Ryan is getting his mojo back, and that team performance at the weekend will go a long way to help him and the rest of the teams confidence.
