Initial thoughts are a lack of creativity from those who are likely to play out wide, Hippolyte who's sat on the bench would give you that.

Muirhead on the wing and Faisal upfront. Fab.

With the players available the only change I'd make would be Muirhead or Faiss upfront with Hyppolyte on the wing. Faiss had one of his better games but he's not giving much of a goal threat.

What a bizarre rant. Morton are a poor team - I say so, their own fans say so, neutrals say so. They didn't play well today. Don't think that's in any doubt. We are also a poor team - we are (still) behind Morton and before today we'd won one (one) game at home all season. We started brightly and played well in spells. I'm happy we won, happy Muirhead looked like a footballer today and happy that el Bakhtaoui is off the mark. But I'm not doing cartwheels quite yet since it was against such limited opposition and we're still well off the pace at top.

Hardly a rant and far from bizzare.

You take things too seriously.

4 points from playoffs. I think that's the best we can hope for looking at the top 3.
Anything can happen then.
4th has to be our target now and I'm hopeful we can achieve it.

It's easy to say that now. At the start of the season when you look at the league and see ICT, Ross County, Dundee Utd, Partick Thistle...

I would have snapped your hand off for 4th place come end of season, still would.

Joe Thomson was my MOTM - he’s settling in nicely now, his runs into the box add an extra dimension to our play. If he can add an end product even half of the times he gets into the box he’ll be some player.

The mowhawk (also referred to as a mohican) is a hairstyle in which, in the most common variety, both sides of the head are shaven, leaving a strip of noticeably longer hair in the centre.

I didn't think Morton were a good side. Maybe we made them look poor, however a well deserved win and I don't think we were ever in too much trouble.

The line up had a better balance about it.

Training should be more enjoyable this week.

SOLID!.........

Never looked in trouble. Morton pushed in the SH but the defence coped well under pressure. Good balance to the team, defence was solid, midfield was industrious (Vincent, Craigen & Thomson....good blend) and the attack was relentless in the FH. Muirhead played well - Held play up and bought others inti the game, he's strong and can hold defenders off. A lot of teams won't expect that from a winger. Keena & Faz upfront looks good - Faz needs to learn the offside rule, if he can learn to stay on the edge he has the pace to burn defenders.

Good day at the office - bring on Plastic Whistle!

Morton had only lost in game in the last 6 before today. Ok, Peterhead are included in that but we made them look poor.
A convincing 3 nil win at home is just what the players needed. Couple of winnable games coming up, if we can win them, hopefully we will start climbing the table.
Even after our terrible start the playoffs are still within reach. COYP!

Not really, realistic.

Dundee Utd with a big budget, Ross County a strong force, ICT who were on a tremendous run tail end of last season were going to be competitive. Don't think anyone expected Thistle to be this bad.

We lost Nicky Clark, Fraser Aird, Callum Morris.

Anyone who realistically thought we had any chance of challenging for the title were dreaming.

Having seen us struggle to beat Morton at EEP for most of the last 8 years (I think we may have beaten them once 2-1 ?), I am delighted at the convincing win.

We struggled for a good bit of the second half, when it seemed we were crying out for some fresh legs, but my overriding feeling (and one made many times by others) is that you can't underestimate how important an early goal is.

Well done to the boys, well done to El Bak for winning the penalty, having the balls to demand to take it and then slotting it expertly past Gaston. Pretty pleased that Keena is shaping up as a great signing (can we keep him please, Hearts ?), and was well impressed with the midfield performance. I also thought Devine had a very steady game, winning headers when it mattered and launching the ball into Row Z when it was needed.

I am still not sure about Muirhead. For a big lad, he doesn't half lose a lot of headers. He obviously did well at the first and third goals, and I think he will improve with games, without ever being a prolific scorer.

Others have spoken favourably about Thomson, Vincent and Craigan, and I would echo that.

I would also like to give a shout to Ryan Williamson, who looked far steadier defending and also managed a few good runs to the byline, with crosses that on another day could have produced goals.

I hope we can keep it going in the next two away games, so we're set up nicely for Ayr, a real test based on last night.

The early goal made a big difference, and the gift second sealed it IMO.

We did play fine for the first 45 having settled due to that quick score.

Morton were poor first half, and we were in the second.

Some scrappy play from both sides at times, and far too many aimless punts upfield.

Morton were poor but we got beat off arguably the same if not worse quality teams in QOS and Falkirk so let’s give credit where’s it due. Good to finally see some goals at home.

It concerns me how much good chances the team wastes, Morton couldn’t have complained it we scored 5 or 6. Against the better teams the chances will be limited so they need to be more clinical.
