Hearing two teams in English League 1 are interested in signing Jackson and are ready to battle out for him.

Would be a major blow...

2 year deal he has, they'll be a fair transfer fee involved.

Who are the teams and where are you hearing this? Last thing we need is to lose our top goalscorer!

Guess is that one would be Bradford being the David Hopkin connection who was his manager last year

A decent transfer fee would be a good bit of business as we've got Martin who has played at left back many a time to cover.
Can't remember when we last sold a player.

Maybe Potter has heard good reports about him, would be a great move for the boy.

Probably been our most consistent player this season. Would be a blow to lose him but good luck to Jackson if he does leave. Hopefully we can get a few quid in the process

Sunderland are linked with Jack Hendry at Celtic , seem to be looking for a utility defender.

He must be looking at the path Andy Robertson has tread and seen that nothing is impossible.

He certainly has alot of potential, would happily take a 6 figure fee in the summer.. Would give us a head start on other teams.

realistically 75k for him.

Dont think bradford have any money to spend and club is a bit of a shambles. Maybe Plymouth with Adams still having connections up here?

Best full back we have had since Jackie McNamara.
We would be stupid to let Jackson go for anything less than the daylight robbery fee we got for McNamara all those years ago.
If we want success we really need to keep our best players.

Wouldn't say he is better than Callum Woods or even Jordan McMillan tbf. Is he better than Shields at his peak?

Would get more than £75k for him. Good LBs are hard to find and he potentially has all the skills you need to succeed in the position. No sense in selling him for under £150-200k as finding an adequate replacement would be extremely tough.

All of the above, would also say Nipper was a better full back as well.

We have had a few decent left backs in the past couple of decades. Flea Fleming was the best that I can recall. Certainly the best to watch. Scott Wilson and Richie Byrne were pretty good too. Even McGroarty in his early days before he lost his mojo.

Scott Morrison, Danny Murphy.

We have had a few really good left backs.

Jackson is OK, but imo, no better than many fullbacks we have had. Stands out in our current squad because so many players have not been consistent.
Being the top scorer halfway through the season says more about the rest of them, than it does about him!

Martin would be an adequate replacement, should we be offered a reasonable fee for him and the player himself wanted to go, but likely wouldn't have five goals to his credit.

have said before he aint a left back and stick by that, today another example of it.

talk of 6 figure fees and best full back since McNamara must be the Christmas spirit hangover!

Is a player who has got worse as the season has gone on. Not quite sure why but maybe realising he has made a mistake?

would like to see him left midfield.

Today we played Higgy there and he offered us no width

Higgy was continually out wide left in the second half.

Whether or not he made much of it is another matter.

Absolutely sold that last goal, all he needed to do with 60 secs left was stay behind the player and take him out wide but no he tried to win the ball and the rest is history. Totally amateur defending. So poor

Martin at left back and Jackson further forward for me.

We’d be better off punting higgy than waiting for his next decent game which for this season has yet to come. Gets a game by default just now as AJ shat the bed in the summer with the ‘wide’ players he brought in.

Longridge looked exposed at times today, a large part of that was down to the standard ‘performance’ higgy put in. Thought Jackson bullied thier winger today but yes he’s not great positionally as not sure he’s a born and bred left back.

Just sitting here drenched in my own positivity! AJ is gone!
