on Mcnamara- technical support in the form of how we train and monitoring players.

on a further coach- "young and hungry", not the experienced head as you might imagine

It was interesting where he said that he had been discussing a possible change in structure with AJ. Was this maybe the additional role GG Riva hinted at in some of his posts?

Very good interview and plenty of passion. Hope all is well going forward and the players can step up the plate. Everyone at the club needs to pull together including all us Pars fans. Onwards & upwards playoffs here we come.

Audio seems to be a bit off on all the recent videos - no idea what’s going on.

Good interview though

I only know that AJ had a wider remit than first team manager, Eck and that he was seen as an integral part of rebuilding our club to become established in the Premiership. Unfortunately for him, a succession of inconsistent results meant that the Board was forced to abandon this idea.

Eta - I listened to the interview on COWS and the audio was fine.

Not your average Sunday League player.

Ref the interview:

That's pretty clear.

"Just to clarify - Stevie and Grieg'll be on permanent contracts?"

Ross: "Yes."

"There'll be no seeking any other managers or anything like that?"

Ross: "No ... To the end of the season, they're permanent contracts and we hope to bring in another coach ... It's the same type of person - a young, hungry coach that we're looking to bring in."

(Taken from the interview, starting at 9 minutes 23 seconds)

(So my guess about the man they're looking for being someone with more managerial experience was wrong. )

Me too. Had it been any one of the three of them on their own, I'd have been pretty underwhelmed.

As it is, the combination of the 3 of them is quite exciting having heard the Chairman's vision.

Excuse my ignorance, but what really is a permanent 'rolling contract'? Sounds like a month by month and can go whenever the Board sees fit so doesn't sound very permanent.

“It has been clear for sometime that a lot of fans were unhappy and had turned on both Sandy and Allan, the chairman put that down to a society that wanted everything now.”

Think that comment is very unfair to the fans. To me, it took the majority of fans quite a while before they decided a change was needed. The fans have kept showing up at East End and have been very positive recently at them. The fans only started to turn (quite rightly so) in the last 10 mins when AJ refused to make a change when everyone could see Alloa were starting to create chances.

“ To the end of the season, they're permanent contracts“

Going by that seems it could all change again if it doesn’t go to plan and we have poor 2nd half of the season. Jackie Mac will be waiting in the wings just incase

Just read the press conference on COWS.
It's a lot of words with much repetition and concludes unsurprisingly reaffirming that we've not much money to spend.

Hope he can build the same rapport with the new manager that he clearly had with AJ, whilst always keeping in mind that the fans are the most important asset in the business of football and good results are what keeps them onside.

Im sure AJ operated under financial constraints. The issues on the Park Im sure cannot be laid solely at his door. Looks like the players will need to step up now and put in some performances to improve our league position.

It is quite reassuring to read the comments from Ross at the press conference and difficult to disagree with anything he says there. I know he does like to explain things in fine detail and sometimes repeats himself, but my goodness, give me that approach any day of the week compared to the evasive double-speak so many club chairmen come out with at press conferences.

I have complete faith in our chairman and the board to do the right thing for our club.
