Personally cause he gets me off my seat I would have kept Joe but as a Business/team decision I can understand why he was let go cause he basically never kicked a baw in the last 5 months of last season and being the wrong side of 30, sentiment couldn’t come in to it as he hadn’t done enough to get a new contract. End off

With Joe away, we have no natural wingers and few if any good options for wide play.
On a related note and I expect there to be a reaction from his detractors, but does anyone notice how few decent results we get when Williamson is out of the team.
He does offer us an option that none of the others do and before I am told about his defensive weakness, I would simply say look at the results anyway, caused often by defensive errors of others.

do we need a "coach" who has never coached before?
not what we need on the coaching side imo.

Anyway does being a pro footballer give him the right to act in a despicable way. The least he could have done was tell the secretary, or whoever that he'd changed his mind and was away to Dundee utd. That would have been professional.

The home game v Livi just into the second quarter when Cardle got injured? A superb goal, an assist and an outstanding performance? The whole team had a slump in the middle of the season but to suggest he was the only one and a waste of a wage is extremely harsh.

I'll stand by to be shot down in flames here , but is there any real point in doing major surgery at the moment .
I think we probably have enough about us to stay up this season .
I reckon the serious work of building a team to challenge at the top end ought to start at this season's end .
Probably a better chance of recruiting the type of player we're needing then .
Would settle for a couple of loan deals just now . If that's possible .

I would be extremely surprised if our board were to sanction a move for him now.
That and the boys a complete rocket who only played for us when the money was about to come off the table for contracts. Robbie Neilsons worked him out, let him rot in their reserves before getting his second dream of a move to Airdrie where he can be hero worshipped as “wanna wur own byraway”.

I wonder if the fallout came in the following game at Partick where he was subbed at half time.
Given Crawford and Neilson's relationship I'm not sure if that makes it more or less likely for him to come here.

If the truth be told, I'd rather we didn't take him back, Ross. I'd be much happier with someone else with similar characteristics. What I do defend is anyone's right - including footballers - to change employer for a bigger salary.
