Deserved lead, Anderson should have scored a couple before that. Think we've done quite well apart from the two or three brain farts at the back that have led to bookings. Quite annoyed that the ref is falling for the usual "touch and fall down" antics from the likes of Graham - who had made a career of it - McKay and McManus. Hopefully we can control things in the second half and get a win here, which would be huge.

Higginbotham tried a crazy clearance only 5 or so minutes before that and nearly gave away a goal, quite why he's trying something stupid again is anyone's guess. Show a you the difference in squad depth though - they bring on Gardyne and we have to bring on Smith. Going to just one up with Smith the lone striker was madness though. Every time the ball is up that end it comes back within seconds. We've been as poor in this half as we were good in the first.

First half he got it spot on. Second half the goal that never should've stood killed us and now we've been just gifting them opportunities.
The goal they scored which was actually called 'offside' was down to Jackson. The second legit goal Higgy, Devines been poor.

Lost the game by taking the strikers off having nothing on the bench, Smith never a championship player. Craigan and Vincent didn’t win a ball in the air once and were overpowered. Too many midgets in this team.
Higgy doing his usual offering nothing going forward and then another crappy we flick effectively sells the game.
Having my doubts about Jackson, looks terrible these days.
County changed it at half time and it turned the game, still being outthought every week.

Great first half, where we were well worth our lead. The Faiss-Anderson partnership actually looked like a partnership and I think if Anderson had been match fit he would have helped himself to a hat-trick.
That said, I thought Ross County were very poor in the first 45 (maybe we made them look that way). I was worried when Gardyne replaced McManus, he's a clever player and his finish (albeit an assist from Higgy) was superb. Can you imagine any of our midfielders doing that ???
From the centre stand, the equaliser looked miles offside while the one which was disallowed looked marginal at best. Maybe the linesman thought he was making amends for a howler, when the damage had already been done to our fragile team.
Our midfield was completely overrun in the second half by the colossus Draper. A bit of a pattern here, our lot seem knackered after an hour.
I can't finish without mentioning the referee. Absolutely woeful performance, card happy for the trivial offences and not even booking Watson when he took out Anderson off the ball in the second half, a blatant red.

Made the trip from Dundee today and thought you played very well first half. Faissal did well. I've been surprised by the negative comments regarding him but appreciate he probably doesn't play as well every week.
Anderson looks a good signing though he should possibly have scored more than one.
Quite liked Ashcroft at the back too. No nonsense defender.
County came out second half and were a different team, with Gardyne pulling the strings.
One complaint--Not really knowing the Pars players, other than FEB and Vincent obviously, couldn't make out the numbers on the jerseys. Red numbers on black and white stripes are hopeless. Surely Holyrood must look into this!

Just watched the highlights what a shambolic second half defensive display .
It looked bad live but seeing the highlights shows the defence to be all over the place
Scully between twice at Near post and the second goal effort from County wasnt clearly offside.
No better than under AJ in my opinion ,we've done it all season gadone decent half but can't hold a lead and can't come back from a Goal.

There was no reason to think it would be any different. If you looked beyond the results and looked at the reasons we were losing, it clearly wasn’t about tactics. We were often dominating games but had innefective forwards. Combine this with the occasional defensive lapse then you have a recipe for disaster. A new manager isn’t going to be able to fix that. For that, you need new players.
One positive is that we had the best 45 minute attacking performance from us I’ve seen in a long time. If FEB and Anderson can build on that we have come some way in addressing one of the major issues.
I agree about Scully through. I was nervous watching him yesterday and it feels like we’ve moved backwards in that area.

It's great being positive but you also need to be realistic , all season we've looked decent enough in open play without scoring too many goals.
Alliance was an example of how we can dominate then second half crumble.
Yesterday was another example of more of the same.
It's down to the manager to stop and correct this which imo he hasn't been able to do.
Once teams become familiar with Anderson's threat he will be marked aot better from a fitter and better centre half that was on show yesterday
The half time subs by county at half time shows a managers awareness ,not sure if Crawford's showed that .
Keep Anderson fit and improve his fitness there's a chance but that won't detract from the defensive frailty and lack of organisation

I suppose you could argue that it highlighted the quality differences in our squads. Ross County were able to make game changing subs. I’m not sure our bench allowed us to do that.

Anderson looks and plays like a proper striker.
Time will tell if the decent pairing shown in the first half can be maintained and developed, but signs seem encouraging.
They would of course need the rest of the team to play up as well.

Wee Eck
'Once teams become familiar with Anderson's threat he will be marked aot better from a fitter and better centre half that was on show yesterday''
Is it possible to be more negative than this?
I feel such a fool here's me thinking that opposition managers analysis
Teams to see strengths and weaknesses before playing them.
Please accept my apologies
I just hope that opposition managers don't read this forum and think it's a good idea

Could start with a win and ,then maybe another
I've had to edit this it's too much to ask for,I'd settle for looking like we could win a game then move on from there.

😁
The pies are nice
While in on a roll what do you think of Crawfords man management skills ,dumps the keeper to the stands , plays a half fit centre forward who in that state Is deemed to be better than our other fully fit forwards.
Can't say I'd be best please if I was a victim ,great way to get the players behind you, he's chip chip chipping away

Are you serious? The players didn't seem too displeased with Anderson's selection after he scored.

Should have maybe panned the camera to the bench and cast offs in stands ,
The players in the pitch will of course be happy as they got a sniff if a much needed win bonus .
I'm not sure wee Eck by some of your comments that you aware although professional footballers they are also human beings with feelings just like you and me
For an example someone takes over your job and they seem to be doing it better than you, just saying

Managers are human beings as well but you well and truly don't give a hoot about them. Whatever suits your agenda though mate.

I'm sorry, DAFC 90, but the point you are trying to make about players being replaced completely eludes me. I wasn't trying to be 'controversial'.

I may not of been clear what I was trying to say .
As a human being it would not to be unnatural to be unhappy if you lost your job to someone you thought less capable than yourself for you to hope that they weren't successful in replaceming you.
Hence potential unrest in the dressing room , do this to enough players and soon the dressing room is lost .
I'm not saying this is the case but could potentially , therefore man management us very important.

I would hope any professional footballer's reaction to being dropped would be to try harder to regain his place whether he thought the decision was fair or not.

I didn't say he wouldn't try harder to get into the tesm I basically said it would be difficult not to gloat when your successor failed to succeed being a human being that is .
If for no other reason it would make you have a better chance of getting back into the team
Sometimes you can try all you like and it doesn't make any difference at all because it's more than just effort that influences selection.
Unfortunately each time I try to explain it takes many attempts for you to grasp as you don't read it properly.

Maybe that's because you're not explaining yourself very well. Football's a squad game nowadays. Players get 'dropped' all the time. You seem to be saying managers shouldn't drop players because it will affect morale.

You're starting to waffle (more than you have been).
It would be difficult not to gloat? These are professional footballers, if Robinson gloated at a muck up from Scully for example he'd be out on his ear.
You seem to think grown men in our team act like ten year olds.

Not sure why you mentioned Robinson ,could be Ryan ,hypollite, muirhead Connolly the list goes
Get in the real world.
I'm not talking about knee slides down the pitch.
I can just image be AJ and Sandy thrilled to be bits for any success Crawford might have , tight?

You're right ,I must take more time I thinks it's the predictive text.
I'm sure you get the gist though
To clarify and again just a personal opinion and idea how I would think.
I think through incorrect man management of situations regarding players in and out of the squad ,that it's easy to lose the dressing room.
As an example if I was in the team then found myself out of the team and replaced by what I thought was either an inferior player or maybe someone who had only trained with the team for 1 or 2 days or even someone only partially fit .
It would be reasonable enough to say I would be angry and doubt I would be wishing my replacement "have a great game"
My reasoning for this are as follows.
I want to play.
I don't want to miss the financial gain from appearing and the possibility of a win bonus.
My pride is hurt.
It could effect my chances of getting a further contact or even another club.
As the manager has said that he doesn't feel it suitable that players who are not training all week should be playing isn't this a little contradictory to his team selection last week.
As I said I think that you should consider the impact of your actions as discussed this to enough people and it could end in tears.
As Jose mourinho found out arrogance does not always work out.
I'm sure all of the players left out of the team and squad (in the stands) would love to get back into the team but if the team wins the chances are you may not okay again.
I appreciate that there done wonderful people out there amongst us that these thoughts would never cross there minds but this is the real world with people's livliehoods at stake
