Looks like a completely different player today. That ball through for the goal was sensational.
Fantastic performance so far
It's common knowledge that Lionel Messi kept a photo of Hamish French by his bedside as inspiration every morning!

Night and day, there is a partnership there, Faiss looks so much more comfortable not being the main striker
Anderson a revelation first half, a striker who wants to have a go at goal
Excited!!!

Indeed. A role that he's openly stated he prefers. He will probably score more from there with the pressure off.

To take Feb off and play Smith up on his own is all kinds of stupidity

I think he recognised we were being overrun in the middle of the pitch and switched to a 4-5-1. I thought that made sense even though it didn’t work out.

Faiss had a good game today, playing his best position on the park. Should never have been taken off.m

Give him a medal. Got beat again and one goal all season. Not good enough.
I hear you but his partnership with Anderson looks encouraging. We lost after they went off. Lets see how it developes and how the do ahainst lesser teams than County.

Considering they have never played together, signs are there of a decent partnership. Our goal threat reduced when Anderson was knackered and then disappeared completely with the subs.

No idea why he was subbed. He was playing out his pink boots and especially with Anderson.

I didn't have a problem with taking Anderson off and going to 4-5-1. The problem for me was that Smith was a poor replacement for Faissal, ball control non-existent and possession conceded very easily. But, as others said, our bench was very weak so what options did Crawford have for the midfield ? Actually think our squad depth is being shown for what it is, numbers but little quality. Meanwhile, RC had Gardyne, Stewart and Mullin on their bench. Miles better.

The Bruce and FEB partnership was very encouraging.
The defeat against the best team in the Championship should not detract from that.
They will go again in a fortnight.Bruce will be fully fit and, hopefully, Louis Longridge and Tom Beadling available again.

Height is still an issue, didn’t realise Bruce was so small, it’s little and little upfront and our full backs pretty much punt it all game so we’re relying on the break of the ball to create something.
It’s embarrassing seeing smith up front on his own, he’s not good enough to play full stop, it was like playing with 10.
Just sitting here drenched in my own positivity! AJ is gone!

Thought he was really good today. Makes the substitutions even more baffling. No idea why Crawford thought playing Smith as a lone striker was a good idea.

because even as bad as Smith is he is still a better lone striker than El Bakhtaoui.
the front 2 as a pair showed glimpses it might work, what you do with the rest who knows.
