 Contracts
Topic Originator: Never10yairds

Was looking on transfermarket there to see who has a contract beyond this season. The following do:

Beadling
Thomson
Smith
Jackson Longridge
Devine
Hippolyte

Don’t know if I’ve missed anyone.

Beadling, Thomson and Longridge is good news.

Not too fussed about the others, need to offload end of season.

Ashcroft then think all of the academy kids that came in in the summer are too.

Ditto. We must retain Joe Thomson,Tom Beadling and Jackson Longridge.

Personally I hope James Craigen,Lee Ashcroft,Louis Longridge,James Vincent stay too.

Though they won't if the New Year Derby is with Edinburgh City.

Louis Longridge is prob playing for a contract when he comes back. As said above the smith Devine and hippo have been poor, think smith still has 2 more years, one good month and we award a 3 year deal!

Would agree about Thomson, beadling and Jackson although the latter seems to be getting worse and worse as the season goes on, maybe he just needs a left winger or striker with height to pass to.

I’d keep craigan as can just about play right back so is versatile and one of the few who could say they have had a decent season. Vincent i’m not so sure, good legs but can’t play a forward pass that finds a pars player and is next to useless in the air.

Play of scope in the summer to refresh the squad anyway. Feels like if we stay up without the playoffs it will be craw in charge but if we go down or survive the playoffs it will be an experienced manager.

Just sitting here drenched in my own positivity! AJ is gone!

Absolutely criminal Devine was given more than a one year deal.

Looking through some other forums re Devine . Everyone saying exactly the same thing. It makes you question how certain players make it professional. It can only really come down to luck.

Devine would have been in the northern Ireland euro 2016 squad had he not switched allegiance. Must be a player in there somewhere

Rikaka, when it comes to centre half’s a big part of it is how good your partner is. Ashcroft looked good next to Morris last year this year he’s been poor and not one of the other 3 at the back are covering him.

I actually though Morris and Ashcroft helped each other out a lot last season.

Surprised that more hasn't been made of Ashcroft missing most of pre-season after his slump in form.

That is something that should never have been allowed to happen. Set the tone of leadership for the season- the club captain swanning off on holiday during the most important weeks training if the season. Not a great example

We won our first five games of the season so I'm not really sure that was too big a deal?
