he Pars Supporters Trust are delighted to have been able to provide financial assistance to ensure Saturdays game against Ross County went ahead as scheduled.

Extremely low temperatures last week meant the undersoil heating system at East End Park had to be fired up. In order to do so, the club had to take delivery of 10,000 litres of oil at a cost of £5,400.

PST Chair, Drew Main said “I’m sure most people appreciate the kind of financial constraints clubs like ours have to work under so when a bill like this comes in and the PST are in a position to help then we’re more than happy to do so. However, we can only help out like this thanks to the contributions of our members and I’d like to thank them once again for their continued support”.

Chairman Ross McArthur added “I would like to once again thank the PST for their consideration in taking the time to approach our club with an offer to fund the fuel for the undersoil heating. It is one of many significant expenses we face during the course of the season, similar to overnight stays when we are travelling up North, so the DAFC Board greatly appreciate the PST’s support.”

Membership of the PST costs as little as £20 per year. If you would like to join, please email membership@parssupporterstrust.co.uk or visit the PST rep in the foyer outside the club shop on match days.

It's great to hear stories like this when there's so much negativity around the club just now.

I wonder how many games the £5400 outlay will cover.

It certainly puts into perspective the club profit, for the whole of last season, of £5700.

On a day when only 924 fans paid to get in.

That is a worry if you are right.

I’m sure the PST members who pay in their £20 per year are happy with the way they donate their cash to the club, if there are PST members who are not then they would be entitled to have a say

If you are not a PST member then you should be saying thank you to them for their very kind donation which has allowed the club to have a cash flow when there have been precious few home games as of late

I for one am delighted to see my hard earned £20 per month going towards this and other similar initiatives, this is what the PST’s very existance is geared towards

Well done

Oops typo, sorted now

£20 per year is a small price to pay to be able to help the club do these sort of things

Hey Mr 1970Par - no wonder your Squealadeal Predictions have fallen off their perch recently with your grasp of numbers!!

Mind you - with all you do for so many different parts of this Club it is no wonder you had a small lapse in memory as to which part is which.

Maybe you could box that up!!

Total Respect.
