Not sure I'd watch Therangers v Aberdeen tonight even if I could, when there are two intriguing CL ties in prospect.

Man City would appear to have done the hard bit, having won in Gelsenkirchen a fortnight ago, but PSG and Real probably thought the same last week. Even so, I'm tempted to go for Juve v Atletico as I can see the Italians scoring a goal in each half to take the time into et, but if Atletico score an away goal they're as good as out.

So far, so good. Great first half in Turin. 1-0 Juve.

Man City winning in a canter, as expected.

Hat trick from Ronaldo. What a turnaround.

No teams should have to rely on any one player, but the impact of Ronaldo whoever he plays for, comes close to that.

Wonder if Real with ZZ back at the helm will try an outrageous bid for him, maybe in a partial swop deal for Bale.

Dodgy, dodgy penalty for the third goal.

Softish, rather than dodgy, Oz. The push probably wasn't hard enough to cause Bernardeschi to lose his balance, but why push him in the first place? By the letter of the law, it's a foul in the box.

I thought Juve would need et to go through rather than the 90 mins. Not a Juve fan but they through deserved it. Great performance.

Bump!

I got lucky last night, in choosing the Juve game over Man City. I like watching City but only their own fans could really enjoy watching such a one sided spectacle. Most neutrals like to see a game where the result is in doubt right up to the final whistle, imo.

Tonight its Barca - Lyon or Bayern - Liverpool. Normally, I'd opt for Barca, as I'm a fan of the silky football likely to be on show, but I'm going to go for Bayern - Liverpool, as it's likely to be more of a battle. I think Barca will be too good for OL and if they get a couple of early goals, it'll be all over.

Bayern must be favourites with home advantage and despite what Klopp says about wanting to go through, a narrow defeat tonight could tilt the title race in their favour as Man City may drop vital league points in games either side of their CL matches. I'm sure Liverpool will hope that City can make it all the way to the final.

Predictions, 2-0 Barca and 2-1 Bayern

Given how p!sh you are at the predictions, I reckon you're trying to jinx it so Barca go through in a canter.

Dunno why you didn't predict a Bayern win, unless you've got something against Liverpool.

Bayern are rotten these days. Liverpool will definitely go through . Gut feeling about Barca. Think they might buckle.

A lot of pressure on Bayern tonight as itโ€™s been a bad few days for German football after the Dortmund and Schalke results. I suspect Liverpool will add to their woes.

Now 1-3 to Liverpool.

Looks like the difference between the EPL and the Bundesliga has been exposed in the last couple of days.

Schalke and Bayern put to the sword emphatically.

Robertson just booked so misses next game. Sad.

Four English teams in last eight.

English football once again dominating European football. A domination that you can only see continuing as the financial power of the EPL increases and their academies produce incredible talents.

I didn't realise it was so long ago but it's been 11 years since there were 4 English sides in the quarter finals. One year there were 3 in the semis if I'm correct? They did have a dominance around that time to be fair.

A bit premature, TOWK. Certainly, the 4 English clubs have done very well so far, but they've won nothing yet. I think City and Liverpool are best equipped to go all the way, but think their neck and neck race for the Premiership title could prove a distraction for both clubs. Man U and Spurs are a bit fortunate to be in the last 8 and will do well to make the semi-finals.

I reckon it will be either Barca or Juve who'll eventually win it, with City and Ajax an outside bet if they get a kind draw. I wonder what the odds are on

(a) all 4 English clubs avoiding one another and
(b) all 4 being paired together?

Van Dijk indeed a great buy Parbucks, as was Robertson of course.
The latter yellow carded and misses next match unfortunately. Looked like a tired clumsy challenge, not one he need to make with the game virtually over and won.

I don't see how that would work as hypothetically there could be 5 English teams in a quarter final draw.

''Barca, Juventus, Man City are my favourites in that order.''

I would probably go along with that, KP

Here are the latest odds:-

Man City - 9/4
Barca - 10/3
Juve - 7/2
Liverpool - 5/1
Man U - 12/1
Spurs - 16/1
Ajax - 25/1
Porto - 80/1

Of course these odds will change after tomorrow's draw. Can't believe you can get 25/1 on Ajax after they destroyed Real in the Bernabeu.

City odds are far too short, imo.

I think you are giving Ajax too much credit for defeating Real. Teams like Real Sociedad and Girona have already won in Madrid since the turn of the year. If Ajax get Porto or even Utd then they might, might, get through but anyone else and it's over for them.

True, TOWK, but Real consider the CL as "their" competition and will be devastated to go out after three consecutive triumphs. Still laughing at Ramos, getting himself booked so he could serve a suspension and play in the later rounds.

Ajax are unlikely to win it, but they have a few young stars who are on the radar of Europe's richest clubs and another upset is definitely not beyond them. They were the better team in both legs v Real. Be interesting to see who they get tomorrow.

City odds are way too short - I'd go along with Barcelona as favourites, although not by much.

What odds do I get on all English sides avoiding each other in the draw? Statistically, I reckon there's about a 23% chance of this (give or take)..
