We won’t for the start of next season but might get one for Christmas if it’s a disaster.

I just hope when craw gets his own team together we can play better fitba and that the crap on show the now is him just trying to get us safe for next season given the dross our squad is packed with.

Just sitting here drenched in my own positivity! AJ is gone!

I’d still go for Jim Goodwin at end of the season, next season under Crawford has disaster written all over it

Crawford had dropped the worst offenders but due to a poor squad and injuries they have ended up back in the team.

There is no way Crawford should be given the job. Absolutely none. We need an experienced head . Someone who encourages the team to play football. The board have once again made an absolute erse of it. Clueless .

You are spot on Sergio the board made an e--e of the whole situation , starting with A.J.s two year deal , we all know he should have went last season and when he did go we have a rerun of the Jeffries / Potter situation , we know we will still have the same management team at the season start at the end is anyones guess

OK so let's assume that SC will get shown the door (he won't imo... But let's play along and put this Jim Goodwin idea to the test)
JG is a part time manager as he has another job outside of football.
From what I've read about him he enjoys both jobs.
The managers position at DAFC is, as I understand it, a full time position.
So unless JG is willing to go full time (seems highly unlikely from what I've read about him), or DAFC are willing to let their manager work part time (I wouldn't imagine that would happen... But I'm no expert) I'd say JG is a non starter for they two reasons alone. At least that's the way I see it.
Remember... He has another job (not a bad thing when you're only as good as your next result... He could get punted and he still has an income at least).
And... He turned down St Midden (a club he loves by his own admission) when they came calling for him.
Why folk seem to think he would jump ship to come to us is baffling to me.
Even if SC was given the heave... Which personally I don't think he will be.
But who really knows eh? ... It's the zany world of football after all 😂

Does anyone know if there was a clause in Crawford about a review at the end of this season e.g. Pars have the right to terminate the contract without a fee if performances weren't good enough? that sort of thing?

Shields and Crawford were appointed on 'permanent rolling contracts' which make no sense to me. All I can assume is it means the permanent part makes him a coach as opposed to a caretaker? The rolling part suggests we are under no obligation to pay them off and they will be paid month to month until the board decides otherwise. I cannot see them getting kept on personally.

Crawford and Sheilds will be there at the start of next season - accept it and move on.

Alloa don't really play good football tbh, battlers and grafters yes.

If crawford is on a year long rolling contract we need to change that to a standard year long contract this summer.

He shouldn’t be rewarded with a years money in December if he done potters it up.

There could well be a termination clause in there that doesn't involve paying compensation for an entire year. We don't know and I don't think we should.

A few weeks ago we were facing relegation. With the same players and the only easy cheap ones he could get SC has more likely than not, maths say it still could happen, got us safe. When he builds his own team is when to say if a good appointment or not.

Remember he was left with a team AJ built outside the transfer window so at least give him a chance.

The least a manager deserves is a transfer window or 2 to prove themselves
