 Liverpool v Chelsea

Liverpool's players will almost certainly be aware that Man City have come through a potentially tricky away fixture at Selhurst Park, so they'll be feeling the pressure as they step out against Chelsea now.

Sarri's team can be a bit brittle and I fully expect Liverpool to go on and win the game if they score first, but their bottle will be well and truly tested if the fall behind.....

That's the title for Liverpool. No way City can take full points from their Spurs and Man Utd games. If Spurs also avoid defeat midweek then I'd expect the Shiek to act quickly and decisively.

Turn on, Tune in, Drop out.

Fair play to Liverpool . That city side are easily the greatest club side in the EPL era and Klopp has somehow masterminded a title against them . Long may it continue.

If only Sarri had seen Guardiola off the premises when he took City to Chelsea back in December.

I think it's a wee bit premature to be wrapping up the league yet.

I seem to remember it was declared that the EPL was over and there was a genuine title race the SP in the not too distant past on here 😂

I only wish Pep was all that then I wouldn't have to watch Liverpool fans celebrating in a few weeks time. What Klopp has achieved now at both Dortmund and Loverpool dwarfs anything that Guardiola has done in the game. It should never be forgotten that Pep has never taken over a club that hadn't been league champions within the last 24 months.

Pep is the best manager in Europe without question.
Very blasé to say he has taken a job already owned by champion winning managers but he improved City no end when they needed it the most.
The title is still City's to throw away IMO.

I'd agree with all that ^^^^.
All comes down to bottle now.
Who will blink first?
Who are the remaining opponents for City and Pool in the run in?

City have Spurs, Utd, Burnley, Leicester and Cardiff.
Liverpool have Cardiff, Huddersfield, Newcastle and Wolves.

Man City having Spurs twice in a few days is going to be a challenge to win both games.
I think they will beat UTD comfortably and win the rest.
Liverpool could slip up in Newcastle but win the other three so I agree it can go to who blinks first.

If winning at Utd comfortably stops Liverpool winning the league then it will be worth it. However if they can't beat Spurs then what they do at Old Trafford will be academic.

Weird thing you'd rather City than Liverpool but I guess it like F*lkirk or Rovers :)

Pep is the best manager in the world without a doubt. Anyone that says otherwise is just being bitter

People can speculate all they like about who will drop points and where, but football matches are notoriously difficult to predict. If memory serves, City have lost at home to Palace and Leicester this season and away to Newcastle, who couldn't buy a home win for months. How many of these would any of us have predicted? (I can't recall their other defeat.)

I have a gut feeling that Liverpool will win the title because they want it more and City may well win the CL. If that's how it pans out, I'd imagine that fans of both clubs will be quite happy, although it would be a nightmare scenario for Man U fans, even if they bag a top 4 place.

For neutrals like me, it would be a good for football, as it's not good for the same team to dominate a competition year after year.

ETA. I've had a look at each club's remaining fixtures and they're all winnable, but the CL matches will almost certainly cause one or both to stumble when we least expect it.
