Ryan Wallace from Arbroath to East Fife
Chris Higgins from Ayr to East Fife
Ross Forbes from Dumbarton to Forfar
Ryan Thomson from Dumbarton to Stranraer

East Fife have been busy; they've also signed Danny Denholm from Arbroath, Stewart Murdoch from Dundee Utd and Chris Duggan from the Rovers.

Former Par Norman Kelly has taken over as academy director at Ards FC.
Not expecting many to remember him as he never established himself here as a 1st pick.

I saw Ryan Wallace last season for Arbroayh AGAINST East Fife and he was different class, well above League One standard. Slightly surprised he is staying at that level, but maybe due to any of personal circumstances, injury concerns and a good offer.

Is anyone keeping tabs on those who have been free;'d to see where they end up? Williamson at partick but where are the rest such as higgy etc

Devine? He’s the only one left who we know struggles at this level. This is good though as last season we had more than half a team who we knew couldn’t hack it at this level but persevered with them anyway in blind hope that they would suddenly produce something that had until then been beyond them.

Everyone has a clean slate this season.

Higgy, Devine and another of Berkey's past targets, Wedderburn, had all played in the Scottish Championship or higher before they joined the Pars so it's nonsense to suggest they struggled at that level. This coming season will see a few younger players who are untried at Scottish Championship level so he'll have plenty potential prey to get his claws into if they don't meet his standards.

It must be a year today that there was such excitement (bewilderment from some of us) that AJ had appeased the fans and was bringing Faiss back.

Just prior to our Friendly with Motherwell, he accepted the adulation of the euphoric crowd.

A few hours later we foolishly signed Myles Hippolyte.

It would not end well.

Why? Because he had a below average season in a team who were appalling for about 30 games last season.

You're very naive if you think he won't get a club.

He is a very likeable young man and I hope he finds a new club.

I was not alone, however,in being bewildered that AJ brought in the likes of Faisal or Hippolyte or Connolly.

To the credit of Stevie Crawford ,he was off the mark quicker in bringing in the players the club had indentified many months earlier.

All we need now is the additional winger.

the chances of another El Bakthaoui return are pretty much zero.

Anderson will end up going out on loan towards the end of the window and Keena probably will be in the same boat.
if Smith ends up out on loan, a move to Airdrie fell through last week apparently then another striker probably would be needed.

I cant see a FEB return. I think the club invested in him for a few seasons. He repaid that over the season ably assisted by Moffat. In my view he moved on too soon and in retrospect it was an error to bring him back into a different team not only for us but for him. I suspect he will be looking around for a championship or premiership club. Not sure what terms his agent will be looking for. We have a new team and new management so things have moved on. I suspect FEB would feel the same.

I wouldnt want to speculate on who was or was not part of the issue last season. Also, it is often down to circumstances that develop and how people respond to those based on how they are impacted or how they perceive things. It does not always work out for whatever reason and it does not necessarily make a bad player overnight. A different set of circumstances, different people around them, and a fresh perspective can make the difference. We all make mistakes, in retrospect we would look at things and do them differently. Contracting is not easy. There is job uncertainty and lack of continuity in employment and earnings. It is often the system that is the issue not the individuals within it. I wish any player who left last season well. I dont think anyone joins a club with the intention of having a bad season. We all move on and that is what the club and players have done.

Longridge had the odd nice touch but most of the time was ineffective. Could do ok elsewhere but I don't think many are mourning his departure.

Crawford and Shields seem to want a team with a lot of energy and a big work ethic - I don't think LL would have thrived under the regime.

A number of his team mates suggested Louis was the most talented player in last season's squad. For various reasons, including injury, we didn't see the best of him. Probably best for all parties that he makes a new start elsewhere. The Pars could ill afford another lacklustre season from him or a number of other players who have now moved on.

Now, a question, does anyone know for sure nobody has signed him?

Steaua .
I aleays love your posts and respect your opinion. But honestly you are so biast for FEB he hay be a lovely lad but at the end of the day he never produced .And you cant keep blaiming others for service .He needed to step up last season after his movie star introduction and he did absolutly nothing .
You wouldnt get in a Sunday league team with his stats .
You need to either adopt him or let him go .😂😂😂😂

I was at every match, thank you.

Obviously Jim Goodwin must rate Louis."

Every match? League, league cup, Scottish cup and irn bru cup? That's definitely dedication, especially as we know how highly you rate the irn bru cup! 👍 Good on you

The flame still burns

"Longbridge spends probably more than half last season injured, gets an operation allowing him to play some games, then walks out. Good character ?"

how do you walk out if you aren't offered a new deal?

I think this is all history. Everyone has moved on. We have a largely new squad. Happy to get behind them this season.

I saw Louis Longridge in the pre season game at East Fife last season - my initial impression was that he had talent but wasn’t interested in putting his body on the line for the 50;50s - I saw nothing either before or after his injury to change that opinion - players who hide when things aren’t going well are no use to the team.

Stephen Simmons mark 2

If he only had his brother’s fight and drive he’d be playing at a far higher level than us.

Louis Longridge.

Very happy I shall never see that charlatan in a Dunfermline strip ever again.

Yes he is and good riddance he was good for 1 season hardly covered himself in glory on the pitch and the fact that we haven't signed him this year shows that he done very little in training to merit a new deal

c'mon the pars

Louis was decent but a luxury player with no proper position thar didn’t fit our new mould of player. FEB however was terrible with absolutely no hard evidence to prove otherwise. A player who has regressed greatly since his one good season with us.

GJS93 - every player today looked totally up for it and put in a shift for their team mates - I don’t care what number or position they are playing that is exactly what I want to see - at our level there is no room for luxury players.

Let’s not get carried away but early signs are very promising.
