Very bizarre move but fair play to him going and trying something completely different

Someone organise a bus.

Seriously, wish him all the best and hope it works out well. I reckon he’s the type of player that will be very popular out there.

Speaking of which. Had a wee chuckle to myself at Dunfermline Bus Station. Private hire coach sitting in one of the stances with a sign for Bradford, was a wee bit disappointed I missed out on the Longridge Appreciation Trip. 😂

He probably asked his agent to find him a club as far away from Berkey as possible.

Lol wee eck!

If he's popular out there then the standard must be pretty poor! Mind you he was popular with some here even through he did zip for the last 2 seasons.

Wonder if Robertson has seen him play or if many lower championship level players have been approached and higgy one of the few who jumped?

Just sitting here drenched in my own negativity!

Hopefully the BBC sanction another series so we can see him play there. Wish him all the best. Could be a fanatic player on his day but was probably the right time for him to leave.

Must've been short of offers to go to the most militarised zone in the world-good luck to him though! Standard looked poor on that documentary as did the pitches and infrastructure.

Mental move from Higgy. Fair play to the lad though. He should absolutely stroll that league . The standard was very poor on that documentary.

Not sure of his family situation, but if he is a single man then I don’t see it as a mental move. Perhaps he is seeing it a the equivalent of a gap year between his football career and whatever he plans to do next. Certainly get a different experience than grinding out a year or two in the lower leagues in the UK.

Berkey has got his flight booked to india, is going to recruit a Real Kashmir fan to heckle Higgy on a weekly basis. He'd stay and do it himself but he'd stick out like a sore thumb!!

All the best Higgy, gave his all in a Pars shirt and I enjoyed watching him play the majority of the time he was here, don't think many can argue that he's one of the best payers technically we've had over the past 4/5 years.

Hope the move works out for him and his family and I'm delighted I won't see him playing against us or in a Raith Rovers shirt next season!

Wish him all the best. The man loved the club and turned his life round before joining us, chucked the gambling and spent a lot of time volunteering in soup kitchens etc.

As Slevin alludes to, he has had to deal with off field issues and whilst he became a largely frustrating character, you could never complain that he didn't give his all.
good luck to him. Based on that documentary, he'll need it

Hahaha brilliant.

Duloch Im only saying it is a mental move after watching the Real Kashmir documentary. At least he’s away from Berkeys scathing analysis !

Really liked him as a player, though his time in Scotland playing was up,

My goodness what a brave move-he could finish his career being a real hero, having a blast.

The documentary was superb-but on the playing side-he would stroll it-just what he needs I think.

By all accounts he came a long way personally at Dunfermline, so for this alone he has my admiration.

Higgy was a victim of the poor players around him. Not saying he didn’t decline as a player in his time here but you could say that about a few.

Think a lot of people have rose tinted glasses when it comes to Higgy, a decent spell with us to start with. Got himself fit, earned a contract and regressed badly last season. A real threat on his best days but a passenger mainly. Good luck to him in India

Can I just say for those who rated higgy, do you not think Dow is a massive improvement so far and maybe higgy wasn’t the stand out you thought he was?

Pace, assists, work rate, ball retention, clever, solid first touch, everything is better.....

We ended up where we were in the league last season as we had players who were only capable of performing to that level and some only on a good day. Those last 2 seasons Higgy was capable of playing in the championship but only on a good day.

The contrast between Higgy and the rest of the team in that turgid performance at Dumfries on 20th April is one I will long remember .

QOS fans were asking if the Pars were already on holiday?

Tomorrow things will be very very different.

Regardless of his footballing ability, he's in a very volatile area right now and I for one hope he manages to extract himself safely...
I very much doubt that football matches are high on the priority list of the local populace at the moment..
