 Fixture List - Season Ahead
Topic Originator: Berry

Believe the fixtures are out at 9am tomorrow.

Who does everyone want first?

For a young and rather inexperienced team I'd like to see us start at home against Morton.

Always preferred an away game first. Atmosphere always seems better. Personally I'd like either Caley or Arbroath away.
However I think we'll get Partick at home.

The flame still burns

I don't know how they decide it but we're due an opening game at home after Livi and DU away the last two seasons.

Turn East End into a fortress again

Arbroath and Alloa at home first 2 games. 6 points in the bag-top of the table never to be caught :)
Ayr will be weaker this season too I would imagine.

In all seriousness a few points on the board at the start would help the confidence with a new and young squad. Can't imagine there will be many easy games though.

Dundee home or away coz we've more chance of beating them before they adjust to the championship.

Outside of the Premiership, I don't think they bother too much, eck. Of course, a team who started with an away game last season, should be given a home this season, but it rarely happens and if it does, it's down to chance.

The team coming up as champions should always get a home game to show off the trophy, imo.

Not your average Sunday League player.

The fixtures must have to be manufactured in some way this season with having both the Dundee clubs in the mix?

It's probably easier with them both in the same league.

Going to miss the first game of the season - so I'll hope for an away tie against QOTS.

I'll be at the Blackpool game - but thinking about The Pars.

Our first trip to Inverness is on the shortest day of the year.

They obviously haven't decided the Friday evening fixtures for TV yet.

Authorities killing the festive period once again, with no boxing day or new year games. Infuriating.

Inverness away last game of the season, again?

That’s 3 years on the bounce. Why? No telling me that’s pure random draw. What is the reason that it’s set?

We played Dumbarton at home in the last game of 17/18. This is only the second year in a row.

Still seems ridiculous though, think Inverness away was the second last game that year.

This could turn into the greatest conspiracy theory since the moon landings.
Sceptics and believers alike will ponder over our end of season games up north for decades to come.
Governments will fall and world wide anarchy will ensue when the truth finally reveals itself...
I've already said too much... There's a black van ootside ma hoose with two suits in the front... They both have ear pieces fitted.
I think they're onto me... Save yourselves... Trust no-one.
This might be my final po... jhfddhhgffbhhrgjrd

Truly random means anything can happen. When things like this never happen it is more likely managed.
People who play online games complain about bad luck and claim dice rolls are not random yet I have personally rolled three double sixes in a row in a live backgammon match.

No game on 18th Aug. Assuming that is for the league cup?
The blank weekends in both Sep and Oct are the international weekends, therefore those will be Irn Bru cup games.
Here's an idea of what goes into producing the fixtures.
