 Fighting after the DFC game

I see that the Dundee EveningTelegraph are running with,

VIDEO: Shocking mass brawl between Dundee and Dunfermline fans caught on camera

It looks like a bit of journalistic licence, looks from the video to be just a couple of people throwing a punch. I presume with nothing being posted on here before that that was all it was?

Meh, never good to see and childish.

It's hardly Green Street though, looks like a wee tiff and handbags.

How do they know that it was our fans that started it? It could have been thugs from Dundee that lashed out first. It would be interesting to know if any damage was done to the away stand, fans from Dundee (both teams) are / were known to break seats.

Violence must never be condoned.... But that's hardly a mass brawl.
I've seen worse when they put the woops stickers on the nearly out of date food in Tesco min.

I would say confrontation rather than assault. If any charges were ever brought they would not stand up in a court of law as assault based on the video footage. Something in nothing and best forgotten.

Must be a very slow news day if that is classed as "shocking mass brawl".
That's more a scuffle. And if no complaints made... Would imply only thing hurt is feelings.

Non story it seems.

Not long ago Dundee came and ransacked the town. At least half a dozen arrests after 2-3 pubs damaged including lorenzos where they were swinging pool cues etc around and attacking locals.

Bit of a nothing story, not helped by highlighting it further on an internet forum.

These guys shouldn't be doing this out the back of the stadium but it's chippy wrappers.

We are aware of a video which has appeared on social media showing a disturbance, which took place after a football match between Dunfermline Athletic FC and Dundee FC on the 3rd August.

The incident is believed to have taken place at the rear of East End Park, Dunfermline after the game finished at 8.50pm.

At this time, we have received no reports of any altercations, but would urge anyone with information to come forward.

Inspector Ian Flynn of Dunfermline Police Station said, β€œThis type of behaviour if completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

β€œIf you witnessed what happened or can assist with our enquiries, please contact police immediately.”

Anyone with information about the disturbance is asked to get in touch via β€˜101’or report information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

There doesn't appear to be any distinguishing features such as team colours to make out what club association the individuals had. They could be anyone. It could turn out to be a useless waste of police time and if no-one has come forward with a complaint why pursue it. People fighting in public like that is always distasteful but I guess the incident has passed off without proof of who was involved, unless credible witnesses come forward. But at this stage for a newspaper to suggest that DAFC was in any way to blame is slanderous.

Was this after the game at their end next to the line of buses? If so it was utterly embarrassing.
