His interview is the most recent in the series with Si Ferry.
Seems a really good lad and touches briefly on his brief time at Dunfermline.
Said training with AJ was really enjoyable before the offer from Bali came in.
Decent money, facilities etc.
Approached AJ and Ross McArthur who he says were reasonable about him leaving if her really wanted to go.
Seemingly the move fell apart because the league across there only accepted players signed from the Premiership and not the Championship.

Always enjoy Si's podcasts and if I'm not too keen on the player before hand my opinion is usually changed by the end of it. Flood had a really good career, however I don't know how much difference he would have made to that sh*t show last season.

Nice to hear him praise RM and shows what a good guy he is. AJ and RM could have easily turned around and told him no chance since he'd signed a deal.

They did say no chance when he came back asking if he could rejoin did they not?

Was it not the case we couldn't take him back for the ruling of only allowing to sign for two clubs in a season? Something along them lines

Think there was that and we'd already went and got a 'replacement' in James Vincent

Excellent wee setup Simon has but it's been getting a bit thin on the ground content wise recently with the likes of John Higgins on it.

Hard to pick any bad interviews, if you haven't seen any i'd urge you to sit down and pick a few out. Even if it's just for putting on bluetooth via the car radio on your daily commute or whatever. A million miles away from your usual cliched interviews; all very honest and upfront even from guys still involved in the game.

Particularly if you find someone interviewed who you may have a pre-conception over based on what saw on the pitch or heard 2nd hand from someone. You come away with a different opinion on a lot of these guys, particularly the 'rascals'.

Maurice Ross and Garry O'Connor two prime examples and a good place to start.

No idea, wasn’t mentioned.

They're excellent interviews. Tend to be a bit old firm focused but I kind of get why that is. Gary Naysmith and Gary Locke were both really good recent ones. Everyone who goes on it comes across really well. Would like him to get someone from the 1980s Dundee United team on. Maybe his gaffer at Peterhead...

Gary Locke was brilliant as was Dean Windass and Stevie Fulton

Im not so keen on the other format where 'Slaney' seems to steal the limelight

Aye, can't be bothered with that Slaney guy. Give those ones a miss.

Agree on that, tend to give the Right In The Coupon stuff a miss.

Shame what happened to Slane as football wise he was a very talented laddie. I crossed paths with him a few times when i lived in Lennoxtown and the village idiot gimmick isn't an act, he is just as bonkers in real life off camera. Harmless though and a nice bloke, just think it spoils some of the youtube stuff.

The new one today is brilliant - David Robertson seems a genuinely nice bloke ! Mental managing in India - can really see the steely winners mentality in the way he talks and carries himself tho. Always remember him as some player... only 3 caps tho
