Nobody seem to be reporting it, probably the Celtic board will say about 1500. That way the will be able to afford a pay off for Lennon.

The SPFL site has now got up all the statistics from the Betfred games with the one omission.

The Celtic attendance is not there.

This is not some little club we are talking about. It is inexplicable.

Mind you ,we are talking about a Club whose Directors did not know whom they would meet in the Europa League after Cluj knocked them out!!

I do not doubt for a moment Dunfermline will get the welcome cheque.

However,it would be a common courtesy for Celtic to behave like the other 41 clubs.

My Journalist friends reckoned 23,000 and the BBC 24,000.

Turps, the attendance money for cup games are shared between both teams.

Not sure exactly how the split is done but obviously the bigger the crowd, the more money DAFC will receive.

Therefore fans being interested in the "official attendance" is actually important with regards to funds being brought into the club from the game.

Most fans rubbed their hands when we got Celtic as we expected a big crowd/payday.

Plus we wanted to see how our young boys would do against Big Bhoys.

We are happy with how team played, we are optimist for season if we can maintain that type of play.... so we are just waiting to see cash earned from tie.

When was the last time we played in front of 20,000 plus ?

I reckon the turnout of home fans was more than respectable - given that they had just coughed up a significant amount for a European tie a few days earlier, then asked for a repeat hand in pocket exercise for a domestic cup game.

Is the split in funds decided by people through the gates or tickets sold? If it's the latter, Celtic have an automatic ticket scheme which means cup games are purchased and placed onto a supporters card even if they were not at the game, this could mean we would receive the share from 35,000 (example) even if only 25,000 actually attended the game.

RMG the club with the famous biscuit tin will be reluctant to give any team money. Therefore we have to hope that they do give us our share, indeed most of us are wondering what will our share be. Perhaps Celtic accountants will be "working" on that.

Surely Police Scotland have far more important things to do than provide the attendance for a football game ?

Even then, they’d base their response on figures supplied by the home club.

We will get our share of the gate.

The crowd will be correct-Celtic are not going to declare there were 3000 there or anything. Ditto it is an all seater stadium, so no sense in massaging the figure.

When we played Rangers last season, they were buzzing (Slippy G the new manager etc. ) otherwise League Cup against the Ugly sisters would be anything around 15k crowd normally, so the low 20 000 figure it looks like.

Can't see why anyone is getting angry about this.

I think all match day expenses (police, stewards, turnstile operators, match officials etc) are taken off and then the gate receipts are split. The big question is how much the home club charge for these things. Quite a few years ago West Ham hosted the FA Trophy final and said the band that played on the pitch had cost them 50k greedy sods.

Celtic fans can opt out of the cup ticket scheme so it's not a given all season ticket holders are in the auto ticket scheme. Either way it's a wee boost to the club coffers.

This thread is absolute bobbins.

We all moan and groan about the OF and the adverse effects they have on the game. We'd all happily see them GTF to some other league setup, yet when we play them in a cup, its all beating each other off at the thought of how much money we're going to make off them.

What a f*****g state.

Let's put it this way. The takings would probably be in the region of £500,000. Deduct expenses such as police and stewarding, would leave maybe £450,000. We should get 50 or is it 40% of that, let's say £200,000. Not much to write home about but a welcome addition to the coffers. Give the players a wee bonus and let's move on to the next game.

Celtic don’t like publishing small crowd figures. The can’t massage figures when there’s another club due a percentage of the gate fee so they keep it private.

Depends on the age group-surely you should be asking 'What was the age demographic?'

Then whether being 60-65 years old qualifies for a discount, and for what reason (I can think of none)

Then I think email Celtic asking for a breakdown of the crowd (maybe being a 'child' in Glasgow is a lower age, due to life expectancy/being a parent)

You should be able to calculate from that, cross referencing the figures Celtic give you.
