Strong midfield but that selection of forwards is awful.

A few problem areas obviously, goalkeeper after we were blessed with prime Marshall, Gordon and McGregor it looks like we're really short in that position. Liam cooper should be good, we need a better partner than Hanley but he'll have to do for now. Fullback positions are fine imo. Right back could be better but we don't have much choice. Midfield we're strong, forward areas we need to perform to McBurnies strengths imo as he is the only real out and out striker we have in that squad. I'd look to play some sort of 433, attacking wingers and a more central midfield trio with the fullbacks looking to attack. I think the one thing we should be looking to do more is get more goals as defensively we are never going to be able to cut out conceding with the personnel we have. Forrest on one wing with Fraser on the other should be giving us plenty of creativity, Clarke just needs to find a way to bring the squad together and get more out of the squad as he did with Kilmarnock.

What does John Fleck need to do to get into a squad ?

East End Park is a symbol of all that is DAFC.

Fleck is injured an not sure who in that midfield would you drop for fleck?

Defence and attack is pretty worrying. McKenna/Tierney/Bates/Griffiths would all be starters.

Like to see Halkett get a call but sure his chance will come

He's being allowed to get back on his feet at Celtic first.

Agree that we have been blessed with the Gordon, McGregor and Marshall combination over the last years. Liam Kelly I think would be the one to watch for the Goalkeepers Jersey. Scott Bain has been shaky at the start of this season.

Bates will be a miss and I'm assuming Tierney is injured too? Celtic-supporting cousin assures me Tierney is decent at CB too.

Midfield looks decent. I'd be tempted to get Mikey Johnston from Celtic capped soon as he looks a good prospect.

Is Griffiths injured? Sure I'd seen him playing for Celtic recently and I'd have him in the squad at least.

Ideally i’d have Griffiths as my number 1 striker supported by Forrest and Fraser but I understand Clarke’s reasoning for not picking him - best to let him sort through his problems and come back into the fold when he’s firing on all cylinders.

Defence looks a bit of a worry as always.

Thought Chris Maguire might have had a sniff too.

Cooper, Bates, Liam Lindsay and Halkett all decent options at cb, obviously cooper was called up but any of the other 3 is surely better than grant Hanley! Even Stuart Findlay would be better than Hanley

Why does that horse Hanley continually get picked? We are still fairly weak at centre back and up front but we look decent elsewhere.
I thought Steven Fletcher may have got in as he has had a good start to the season but talk of him retiring so assuming that looks genuine. Hopefully Griffiths isn't too far away from getting a call up again.

Awight Pat!

Who would you pick ahead of Hanley FBLH? McKenna is injured, Souttar hasn't played for a Stoke side struggling in the league below, Berra is done...

Hanley is injured and out apparently, Findlay mentioned above also injured.

John Souttar is injured at Hearts, his brother who is at Stoke is on loan somewhere but plays for Australia so not an option.
