Is it all Ryan Dow's fault?

I know it's not his fault that we are not quite firing on all (or even a few)
cylinders, but it has been noticeable that we are missing his influence.
The high pressure, high pace, hunting-in-packs style of play we showed (briefly)
in the early games has been totally missing since Ryan picked up his injury.
Now I don't think for one minute that one player makes the team and I certainly
don't think that Ryan Dow is the answer to all that ails us, but we looked a more
potent threat with him in the team.
We are not a million miles away from picking up points, hopefully today for starters.
We should have taken something last week, if it had been a boxing match we would
probably have won narrowly on points.
I suppose the point I am trying to make is that we are missing a couple of vital
and influential cogs in our machine. Dow is one, Murray is another. Both have been
missed more than we would have thought and possibly more than Crawford would have
thought as well.
We are not world beaters, but nor are we the worst. At the moment we are
on a massive learning curve and the experienced players are more important
than ever. Dow is one. Murray is another. Ashcroft, Paton, even Lewis Martin are
all the 'older heads' that need to be supporting and encouraging the younger
boys in the team.
Before we stare feeling too down about the season, we need to get all the big
players back on the park (including Joe Thomson) to see the product we are
truly capable of.
In the meantime, we supporters can play our part as always by getting right
behind the boys that take the field and giving them our full backing.

The high pressure, high pace, hunting-in-packs style of play is impossible with only 1 player in the centre of the park.

It’s to easy for the opposition to pass their way out of trouble.

Just sitting here drenched in my own negativity!

It’s a fair assessment and very reasonable, however we can’t put all our eggs in one basket or rely on two players to make our team play

The pressure will mount in Stevie Crawford today if we don’t come away with a win, I’m afraid the table does not lie and we will be firmly rooted to the bottom of the league

On a positive note though a win will give everyone a massive boost and set us up well for the coming games

That win has given me a massive boost and going by all the Pars fans who were there, their reactions suggested they all had a massive boost. It was a great day and very hopeful for the future.

Always believed we would come good and (hopefully) give someone a bit of a doing. Players and fans will take a boost in confidence but we need to maintain.
As is always said, next game is focus now, win that and more confidence builds.
Gotta build momentum and play as well as I Trust we can and work out way up table. ..... But still next Saturday... Enjoy the glow of a good result.
