 Spare a thought for Ayr

What now for Ayr Utd?

It’s all about the manager they bring in as the team is already performing

Will the momentum continue? I hope so if nothing else to give the Arabs a run for their money

They've got a small squad. They struggled in the second half of last season and I think it may be the same but worse this season as they lost some good players and Shankland. They were never contenders for the title imo. Will be in a battle with half the league to make the play-offs.

Anything that weakens any of our competitors can only be good news for us surely.... No? 🤔

That's true widtink, but you could argue that the outcome is what they call in game theory a "zero sum gain".

Ayr come down a bit, Thistle go up a bit.

Our competitors are likely to be at the bottom half of the table.

If you only turn up to moan then do it elsewhere

Bit of negativity there AAPS. Obviously you weren't at Firhill on Saturday. Build on that performance and anything is possible. There are several of our players that convince me they have loads of potential. If we can continue to gel as a team and have a bit of confidence in each other's abilities, the boys we have here can write their own headlines. I will keep believing.

I wonder if the Moff and Geggan will be given management roles.

In these situations I always feel sorry for the players who signed or re-signed for a club assuming the manager was going to stay in post.

I care about Ayr and their support. When my son was young he had a wheelchair and I remember taking him to a game at Ayr. We were in the area under the main stand beside Ayr fans. They came across as decent lads just supporting their team. Hopefully the get a half decent manager in, and the are able to keep a highish position in the league, preferably above Partick and below us.
