 New contracts

Might seem a bit early, but Lewis Martin and Ryan Dow are free to speak to other clubs come January, with their contracts up at the end of the season. Would like to see us get them tied up to longer contracts, as they both seem to be important players for us now.

I would hope Crawford already knows this and player reps would have been approached with draft offers by now

That's his point tho. January might be too late. If possible I'd give Dow another year before United or Dundee snap him up

Dow could be another Longridge, if he keeps fit and playing at current level he could get a Premier league club no problem IMO.

He's had a decent start and long may it continue.1 goal in 54 appearances for Ross County before they released him would be a concern though

Not concerned about Dow's goal tally, he's a creative player for us. I'd try and get him, Martin, Comrie, McCann (does his contract run out next summer?), Morrison and possibly Ashcroft all signed for next season. The rest need to do more to prove it over the season.

Laughable . If we get beat on Saturday folk will be wanting rid of the entire squad.

I don't see how we can offer contracts or why players would want to sign them until we have at least half an idea what league we will be in. If we offered a long term deal to somebody who got a long term injury what good would that do us?

We have had too high a player turnover in recent seasons so we should be vigilant but September is far too early to be dishing out contracts.

Dow has at the very least equalled the goal total of FEB from last season and goalscoring isn't his main priority.
Sure he dribbled past more players on Saturday than some others did last season too.

He's only had 2 shots at goal in the league for us and scored both-hopefully he sustains that record :)

It wouldn't be the scoring record that put me off but seems to have had a lot of injuries-only started 108 league games in his career(since 2007).That's not a lot of games for a 28 year old.Hopefully that's behind him though, he managed 28 for Peterhead last season.I've been impressed with him so far and would love to see him here for longer just wouldn't be offering him a contract yet.

1 win and suddenly we need to be looking at contracts in September? It's a no from me. Maybe review this early December etc but it's far too early to be putting up longer term deals for anyone just now imo

On that note I'd happily have Dow and Martin back for next year, but Dow has hardly played for us and Martin has well known issues with injuries in the past so even with those 2 star performers in what has been a relatively poor team this year, I'd still hold off a while
