Only one for me, Kyle Turner. This young lad will go places. OK a couple of passes went astray but he has a huge amount of class. He reminds me of James Maddison of Leicester City. A bit more bulk and upper body strength and this young man will develop into one of the greatest players that ever pulled on a Pars Jersey. Worth the trip to see him today. And before you ask I'm not his dad.

Thought Lewis Martin was our best player although he should have fouled the player in the build up to the goal

Martin
Comrie
McCann

Defensively adequate, midfield with no real presence and toothless up front.

Comrie? The boy done nothing!

Lewis McCann by a country mile absolutely smashed it, out paced, out muscled everyone, ran past players with ease, superb passing and very unlucky to not get a goal and does not stop running.

Best I've seen him play.

Runner up has to be Lewis Martin.

Berkey, why would Martin pull back a player needlessly when the Pars had at least 4 players back? Guy plays a great game by many accounts, but you can't let go of your agenda and come up with how history should have been rewritten. Alloa goalscorer comes in on his right foot and puts it top right -- he was not on the break. Give the goalscorer credit instead of trying to create an unreasonable scapegoat.

Josh Coley...

Until he came on we had created very little down the flanks.

Coley comes on and we have someone who can toast the fullback & get a cross in. Nissbet stops coming out to the wing & we have more of a goal threat.

MotM - Coley game changer.

Usmac, the same thing happened twice the other way in the second half when it was the same 2 pars players against 3 or 4 defenders and they were more than happy to take the booking and stopped even getting a chance at a shot.

Cochrane also did the same in second half, although he didn’t even have the strength to stop the move.

This isn’t a retrospective thing, this should be obvious to the central defender. Next time Martin does it I suspect he’ll take the booking as I’m sure he was told at the time and a number of people have said on here.

We’re not trying to win the fair play league here.

Apart from that I thought Martin was good, that moment aside I don’t think they had another shot on target.

I thought defensively we were good. Ashcroft is ever reliable and I think playing alonside Martin they look a good pairing. I like Comrie too. The younger players are looking better every game to me. I think that is the important point. We will get better as the season goes on. I think some teams in the league will not. We are a long way from a finished article but the signs of improvement are there.

The worry for me is the pitches will start to cut up and the conditions will worsen which suggests the ball will be in the air more and bar our centre backs who is going to win a header for us or make it stick upfront?

Quite a few occasions on sat where we didn’t even compete for the header. Due to this we just are not picking up enough second balls.

Guess we’ll need to see how it goes as apart from beadling there’s nothing more we can bring into the team.

Berkey, it was only 5 mins into the second half. You don't want one of your CBs to get onto a yellow that early in the half unless it's absolutely necessary, and as I said, in that case it was not necessary.

Flannigan is 31 and has been around the block. He has been part time for a significant time. That means he has a full time job I would doubt that he would want to leave both to probably drop down in money to play full time.

Usmac they were sitting deep and had barely troubled our back line in the first half Martin had been booked plenty times before but it was unlikely he would be in that position again unless he gave the ball away again. It was worth the booking all day long.

We need to be smarter.....
